Stage 3 is EXACTLY why 100 man is better than endless. You have an actual goal, you're halfway to it, a good chunk of lives to practice practice and practice, coming down to the wire and you PASS IT. Then 3 more levels in the critical state and you're home free. Endless just lacks that tension and sense of reward. 100 man for life
@CaptainTrevino2 жыл бұрын
30 lives just isn't enough in super expert even for pros. You can't even set a decent goal like "Beat 6 levels". Once you get that one tough level, grind through, and victory is within grasp the run ends.
@pearapple53022 жыл бұрын
the levels are just worse as well, the algorithm favours shorter ones that seem very similar. like it's a problem in the first game as well but not to the same extent.

@@SleepyStreak Wildly, doesn't change the fact that 30 lives is pathetic and that having a goal is better.
@SleepyStreak Жыл бұрын
@@tetermc Theres two goals, beating the levels, and beating your record. If you want an arbitrary group of levels to beat, you can do so in your own constraints. And 30 lives plus a better voting system is perfect, prevents trash troll levels built to eat your lives from constantly plaguing the rotation like in MM1, and gives you room to collect lives in the early levels.

what makes finding the dev key on that last level even more clutch is that it’s MANDATORY. you can see at 20:33 that you can’t get the last red coin without having to die. they’re all bait

12:29 - "Oh, I just thought of that too, if I got a helmet through... I would cheese the frame jump!" I was confused when you said this, because the first time you thought of the idea of cheesing a helmet through was right after you encountered the frame jump ending for the first time - and so I assumed from the start that the intention of keeping the helmet was for the cheesing the ending. Regardless, that was among the most epic and clutch of all your 100-man videos. Extremely impressive.

Ryu you missed MAJOR CHEESE in that first level.... At the giant thwomp room (1:06) if you had kept the pow and dropped it, then performed wall jumps while juggling the pow (or let it fall, then collect the coin below it), you could have escorted the pow block to the red coin room (at 1:32), then used it. It would have caused the red coins to fall on the conveyor belts, which would have dropped them all to the right and let you get all of them at once.
