That loader is a God send for you for sure. I can remember growing up as a young lad back in the 40's and 50's in southern Ontario Canada. We had many winters like this living in the country. Snow and high winds and sometimes you couldn't get out for a couple days. Great to see you back making videos again when you have time. P.S. I know about open stage in that weather on a Farmall M with a V plow.

Hey Friend, So good to see you banging out content or rather taking the time ⌚ to give us a peek into your life. I would love to see how you are going to address that broken plow as it sounds as if that area has been welded before. I really enjoy your repairs and how deftly you incorporate teaching with the entertainment you offer. Keep on rockin' Blake. Your endeavor is much like selling life insurance door to door; if you only want to quit once a day, you are a RAGING SUCCESS.

I buy my cutting edges for my tractor at a municipal supply. It's reversible so when one side wears out you unbolt it and turn it around. You can check where you highway dept. Buys there edges.

Bad luck mate, it is quite surprising the forces applied to your plough by packed snow. Still a like your calm approach to the breakage, I might have gone ape

I remember when those plows first came out, and the hinges were weak then.. I was able to make new hinges and modify the wings so they would work.. but I also hade a lathe and an 1-1/4 dill but for it!

Quick welding trick: on welds that just keep breaking go back and grind out old filler and then use stainless rod. Works every time as long as there is something decent to weld to.

I plow first pass with a straight blade, or v’d back if it’s heavy, then use angle to push back the edges. Even if it requires a 3rd pass when 2 might have done I find it faster overall, and a whole lot less work overall.

Put a switch in the cab on the ground wire so you have the option of back up alarm or silence of the alarm. We do all are trucks and equipment. Good luck

I had a big Michigan front end loader that I rigged an old state snowplow to. A little front heavy but it came with the complete set up. It was a little bent up from an accident but still did the job

Hello, Nice plow setup. Love the new wheel loader!! Is the snow blade a pickup truck style? I have an older John Deere 244E wheel loader likely somewhat similar in size to your Case. I have a large poly snow blade that used to be on a municipal dump truck. I was afraid that a pickup style blade wouldn't hold up to the forces generated by the wheel loader.
@rydplrs71
@rydplrs71 Жыл бұрын
Speed determines the energy impacting a plow blade. The speed of a dump truck makes it much harder on a blade especially on similar weight vehicles. A 244 is about 12,000lbs which is about what 1.5ton dump weighs. Around here all municipal dumps are over 26,000lbs.

I might be wrong, but at @20:42 it looks like if you flip the cutting edge 180 degrees laterally, it might be center to the bucket. I think it extends further out from the leftmost whole than from the rightmost. And the bolt pattern on the bucket is exactly the other way round.

Normally on a dozer, that last 10" or 12" of the blade on the bucket is a separate piece. You could cut your blade back on both sides and add on a small replaceable blade end, just like a dozer.. Or I guess, just do it on that short side and leave the other side how it is.

Bobcat makes industrial attachments, and home owner attachments. that plow looked very much home owner. steel is way too thin to be anything used commercially, or for miles on end.

Farmers around here used to plow the roads. Then the county threw a hissy fit that they are the only ones allowed to do any work to county roads and if you plow them you're breaking the law. Stupid county.
