Yes you and Davide Biale has inspired me to start learning bass, unfortunately i have not visited your basscamp, but i rather learn from you in person tbh. I am not normal so i dont learn like normal people :) also i use my ears as a tool, they are pretty 100% on pitch, by that i just mean that if you play 5 notes to me while im blindfolded, i will find the same 4 notes blindfolded just using my ears, but i am not THAT trained that i could by ear exactly what notes you are playing, or actually the G note i can probably tell you, at least the light open G, makes the same sound as my egg cooker when the eggs are finnished lol

I sound like everyone else sure, but as a piccolo bassist its super fascinating to see how you've learned such a wild way of playing strings on a fretboard. As i've watched your videos i've sort of developed more of an appreciation for what you do as i'm picking out what all you do on the bass versus backing tracks. At first i was sort of like "oh so its like alot of it is editing" but the more i watch the more impressed i am because i can pick out whats what, of course its always been impressive. But just how you've changed your way of playing bass while having a fun personality, and are pretty good at producing, piccolo bass, synth, and keys. Its no wonder your as successful as you are
@penpaperpower7 ай бұрын
It's very pleasing to see that, given everything you've already achieved, you're still looking to evolve your skills and style. I wouldn't say that I 100% vibe with every single song you put out, but most of them are total bangers and in all of your videos your unparalleled skill as a bassist and composer is obvious.

Charles is getting more and more mature in the musical composition. I find that especially in the drums, which are better and better and correlates with the bass so good. Another nice point is the pauses between phrases in the main melody. That pauses give more funkiness, groove and feeling into the song, and your face says it all!!! Congrats Charles, you have a 17 yr old amateur bassist loving ALL your content!! Hugs from Spain💪🏼

Its everything music is meant to be. Takes me away from my cares and concerns for just a while and exhibits rejuvenating power upon my soul. I have been listening to your stuff everyday for probably the last six months. I have given up the thought that there's no way for you to top whatever is my current craze. It just keeps getting better! When my #2 son was in his teens, he studied piano a bit and would constantly be playing with all sorts of chord progressions. Over and over and over, all ad-libbing. Some of his riffs were phenomenal. All quarter notes. Its been 30 years, but your music takes me back to that a bit. God Bless!

Aaaaawww, you just covered Voyager, my fav song i play to relax ! It would be very nice if you do a little mash-up of great bass lines from Daft Punk -there are plenty of them, like Around The World, Short Circuit, The Bass solo at the end of Something about us, basically every songs on Random Access Memory... and also this one, Voyager, that you just covered beautifully. I admire a lot the work and time you put in your practice, the talent (even if you say you are not talented) and the creativity you put through that to inspire other people to do the same. Personally I was watching Davie but when you are really the one who inspired me to take the Bass. I watch you since 2019, it's been 5 years ! Wow... Already... All I remember is that during this time you were always uploading great and inspiring content, and beautiful originals. One thing i love in your bass playing is that you are not limited to one style, you play a very diversified music, from metal to jazz passing by classic, funk and lo-fi like just right now. I love your content ! Have I said that before ? Also i watch all your basscamp videos and I try to practice them regularly but i can't always find time. Anyway, I wish you the best in your career, in your life, in everything. Thanks for inspiring so much people out there ! A big fan PS : Pls do a live in France with Bernth !
