Having anxiety myself I really resonated with what iain was/is dealing with. He's been my favorite bodybuilder for a while now and a lot of that is due to his honestly and transparency. Is so hard to get out of that cycle of negativity when you start going down that rabbit hole (I'm dealing with that myself now) but having a great support system of people is very important and its what helped me through this type of thing in the past. This was a great podcast and it's always a treat getting to listen to you two talk. Thank you.

Like a lot of people have already mentioned, this shows Iain in a different light than what we've seen or are used to. I was so used to seeing him have strong opinions on Fouad's podcasts and getting fired up or getting into squabbles with people like Blessing Awodibu (which he never really seemed to take seriously in the first place and was more amused than anything. lol). He seems like a solid guy despite all of this. I love bodybuilding and other sports and when I love something, I tend to be very passionate about it and can also be very opinionated about it. I think sometimes I tend to go overboard and forget that at the end of the day, bodybuilders are people too and might seem tough outwardly, but can have insecurities and hang ups like all of us do, whether we admit it or not. So, thank you for making me take a moment to check my own damn self! lmao.

He’s a bodybuilder’s bodybuilder and has Mass with Class. Damn, I used to talk sh*t about Iain. But now I see dude has a lot in common with me, cause in my field, I struggle with the same crap. The happy medium is difficult when there’s a lot of negative feedback for sure. I learned from my therapist that opinions and facts aren’t the same and opinions aren’t always reliable. I ultimately chose which ones do and I give power to the negative BS. I allowed asshole people to appraise my value. But the facts are what matter. Fact is Ian is successful in his life; he is one of the best bodybuilders in Canada and in the world so people who criticize with their negative opinions don’t change that.

Great podcast... I would mention the need to balance the audio because Mellissa's volume is too loud and Iain is too low. I have to keep raising and loweing it according to which one is speaking. I would say to Iain to become LESS involved in the comments left on social media as it does/will play with his mind over time. Some people are on social media just to take a crap on another. Whether Iain won the Olympia 1000x, they would still say damning tings, so take to heart those things that are true/honest and without reacting, take to mind the constructive criticism that works in his best interest. Leave all else in the garbage can

I think you could REALLY kill this podcast game Melissa! You ask some good questions and know when to and when not to talk/interrupt. My advise would be to hire someone who really knows his (or hers) tech stuff and could help you setup something like this at home or at a office of yourself. Maybe let that person be there on the background helping you by keeping an eye on the quality and maybe pull stuff up you want to be shown up on a screen you and your guests can look at. Someone like a Jamie on the Joe Rogan podcast for example.
