Yipes still got the godlike execution he was known for. Really hoping MvC2 pops up at tournaments with this release, even if it's only side tournaments that grow over time. This game is easily good enough to be played today and have a huge audience. I'm going to have to go back to a stick with traditional buttons over the key caps I've been using and prefer these days. I've been testing a button I threw together using optical key-switches on a pcb in a traditional arcade button enclosure with standard connectors most sticks use these days to be drop-in replacements. Durability is better than traditional mechanical key switches, but I also don't play titles where I have to physically assault my buttons every time I do a super, lol.

The reason Yipes will never play Khaos is simple: Ken's arrogance and disrespectful attitude. Sure, we all recognize Ken’s incredible skill, but let’s not forget that Pasadena has beaten him convincingly with MSP. You think Yipes hasn’t studied those matches? Yipes wrote the damn book on MSP. He knows exactly how to counter Ken. Besides, at this point, who really cares about who’s the best in MVC2? This game was a product of its time, and Yipes was among the absolute best during its golden era. Him, JWong, Sanford, and Duc were the undisputed champions when the game was in its prime. Khaos is undeniably talented, but he’s not from the same era as the original GOATs of this game. His relentless pursuit of a match with Yipes now comes off as foolish and insecure. Let’s be real, Ken: if you had faced Yipes in his prime, we all know he would have eaten you alive. Stop chasing ghosts and be content with your greatness in your own era. You might belong on the MVC2 Mount Rushmore, but don’t fool yourself into thinking you stand above the legends who paved the way. They ran so you could walk.
