Every iamamiwhoami video gives me goosebumps and I love how many there are.I'm annoyed with people who are saying that this is "too poppy" what sounds like this in pop music? i'd never hear this on the radio lol.

6 years ago this song has resonated deep within in my soul. It brings me unexplainable joy and hope. It also strikes my emotions in a way that I have never felt before. Almost like I'm standing on an isolated shore looking out over the ocean for the answers to my life. I cant help but to dance in tune with my salty tears hoping that this feeling/song will never end. I have been sucked into the Blue and I will cherish this art till I am no more on this planet. Also Jonna Lee is the most delicate,beautiful,inspiring,talented,mysterious woman that has ever crossed my path on the internet. This Music video is edited to perfection. As the waves splash, Wet hair is swayed in the sunset. Pelicans dive and Sea life is jamming to every beat in sync. This project deserves so much more recognition than most artist these days. I loved, love and will love all pieces of work from this irreplaceable artist

The darkness has always been overvalued in every form of human expression. We like it, we choose it before any form of comfort, we love the blue in our days. Why? I don't know. But life is mostly beautifull, we get cheery things like this and we feel uncomfortable, we want the hollow back. please, all of you missers of bounty and the all mighty Kin, Let yourself enjoy the Life this album is giving us. Blue is in every beat and pixel, a celebration. Let your soul celebrate. To whom it may concern.

You know your comment is old but please read mine. I completely agree with you, I can see much of my life in her work, in the previous years I was a much darker person, probably deeper and more meaningful, right now I moved to the seaside, started a new relationship and living, life as it comes with the turquoise blue of the sea living inside of me and in my aura. kin and bounty are probably deeper and involving, blue is not about being deep is feelings, is about water that sloshes and ripples and flows, you can bathe in it and refresh, not overwhelm yourself. I found it overwhelmingly beautiful, which is something else, it makes me stand in awe and I just comprehend it, gives me the same feeling of my turquoise stone jewellery or the shimmer of my newfound sea waters. Enjoy life and embrace happiness, heck be superficial if it's needed, Namaste.

***** I only feel the same about this big and glorious project
@glennthorton10 жыл бұрын
I'm rather fond of the evolution that has spurred this audiovisual project. I love the distinction that separates the old era from the new. They both have different emotions associated with them. Bounty was about wallowing in sorrow and allowing yourself to sink to your knees in it. It was empowering to listen to because I felt a kinship with her and fellow fans. A distranged, unknown community of people enchanted by the esoteric. It seems that we all are attracted to her untamed, unconventional style and symbolic performances. With Blue, I feel the darkness begin to lift. With the spanning of years, memories of sorrow begin to fade. She is choosing to rise above pain and find beauty in life and joy in nature instead. This album focuses on soaring synths, uplifting, climactic rises and falls, and cathartic eruptipns of harmonious vocals. Whether you like it or not, you have to agree that her newest work represents an internal change. All artists are simply windows to the world that exists within themselves. We have a chance to look deep within Jonna Lee's soul, as she allows us to do so. Instead of criticizing the appearance of that window, look through it and at what lies deeper.

vista is still my favorite song, but this video is so amazing, I love it! And even though I liked the darkness of bounty and kin taken as a story you wouldn't want your protagonist to suffer forever, I like the new upbeat, empowered sound of blue

[Chorus 1] Tap your glass, let us see you unfold Shall I tap my glass and give it my all We could tap our glasses, let ourselves go now Tap my glass, raise my voice To call upon your attention As it fills to the verge when full It begs them for us all suspension Draw breath and let ourselves go Through the dark veil’s rolling floors And feel the salt slowly fill your throat [Chorus 1 x2] [Chorus 2] From the tide that's rising Using all of my force I form shapes on the sea As she changes course We are creating new islands Now when the flood comes, swallow down all the salt Coming down, we drown, we drown We drown, yeah, ooh Let the shallows of above forget us Getting closer to the bottom Adventure of a life in the cold Never to be forgotten Unless they want to let themselves go Unless they choose to be swallowed Then the above will be visible [Chorus 1 x2] [Chorus 2] (We are creating new islands!) I know everyone has it's own opinion and I respect it, but I just can't understand these people complaining all the time, like "oh i miss bounty" "they're not mysterious anymore" "it's like a sun lotion ad" "they're too pop now". It's ok for me to deal with it because each person has its point of view about this series, but why complain in EVERY SINGLE VIDEO of blue knowing that they will keep this new style? YES, they've CHANGED, they are in a new direction, have new visual collaborators, new sounds, new production, new ways of delivering their work. Since the release of fountain and its following videos/single covers, everyone must have already noticed that this is different from bounty and kin and that they evolve sonically and visually. Each audiovisual album has its own characteristics. Although they seem more accessible now, creating more dancey songs (they were always pop, but experimenting bit by bit), they still sound great and with their original essence. They are independent and keep making great music with the money we generated for us to consume their creative work and that is the point of its geniusness. The videos may look simpler, with less elements, exploring the landscapes, but it's breathtaking to watch, it is cohesive with the aesthetic of the album and definitely has hard work behind it; and they owe it all to us. We know that criticism is a constructive tool for the artists to grow, specially iam, which has a direct relation with their fanbase to continue producing (and we all know it is difficult for them to maintain this), but we have to get used to this series and it will remain that way: it's full of joy and I like to see her like that. It's basically the opposite of the melancholy and dark world they've been before, and it's good because they are exploring different places. And as shown in the trailer of the album (people that are still complaining must have already seen it too), the other videos won't be much different from what we've been watching until now. So what do I want to say? Art is not only made of symbology, mysteriousness or strangeness. It's made to reach our emotions and perceptions in a certain way, and we are blessed with that because we can interpret their videos the way we want. If you want kin/bounty back, they are there for you to listen/watch.
@gustavobezerra746810 жыл бұрын
And we all know how music industry works; if they kept their way of releasing videos like it was with bounty, it would be really hard to deal with the budget and the production of the videos/songs. they need to spread their work and they couldn't just ignore the commerce (as all the other artists - if there was no income, how would they continue?). So they entered the industry with kin (and released the physical version of bounty after it for us). and I'm really sure that BLUE is a reflection of this adaptation to the digital/physical music scenery (as she said these days), so that they created a platform for us to consume the way we want: we can choose between the physical, digital version, or only watching their videos/listening to their music for free over here. this is incredible for me and makes it all worth it. In my opinion I think fountain/hunting for pearls/vista were in line with bounty and kin, but not this one--so in that case I would complain on this video. Other people may have thought the project wasn't great from the start, and commented on fountain. Some only thought the project went downhill from vista, and commented there. It's not that some people are trying to put down every song she publishes, it's that they're are starting to become disillusioned with the project at different points in the release.

This is so beautiful. I hate when people say that they prefer their previous material, they do not understand how art works. For me, iamamiwhoami make art (music and videos) as life, and life doesn't work in the same way over and over again. It had to evolve to the next level someday. Maybe bounty and kin were darker, but they were because they were telling a dark story. To me, BLUE is telling a story about running away from that darkness, you know, letting go the past, living in peace and trying to find others who are running away too. That's the beauty of iamamiwhoami. PS: If you don't like the new material, stay with bounty and kin and don't bother real fans and followers. peace!!
@duckotaco10 жыл бұрын
you know they have the right to not like it, and in fact I personally prefer the previous stuff as well. But you're completely right about life/art, and that's why I don't expect them to repeat themselves. In facts, the only problem I see here is that the project is repeating itself a bit too much (in my personal view) and I'd like to see something completely different, new and shocking. But you can't force it...it either comes or not. Life decides, not me and not the artists.

The water element is so cleansing and uplifting. It feels like she's encouraging me to find my own way and to appreciate the life around me, nature in particular, by giving me new energy and inspiration. Water gives you life and is the basis of who we are but it can be damaging as well and Jonna portrays these characteristics very well. She's a unique artist whose performance is very believable since she actually means what she says and is deeply involved in the creation process. For these reasons I feel so connected to her recent material and I'm really looking forward to hearing the entire new project. Thank you very much for this, Jonna.

Having seen 4 singles released from the BLUE album, I notice that the protagonist is heating up and thawing to a warmer state of mind as is evidently unfolded in the images. In Vista, the face is dotted with snowflakes, which have melted into liquid-like gel in Tap Your Glass.

This era has a different approach to it. Personally I'm loving the simplicity and nakedness of the new era. It's not cluttered with symbolism and clues and it seems more in sync with the music to me. Most people don't seem to realise that there's a different director to this era. Wave is directing now and who is Wave? Jonna Lee John Strandh and Agustin Moreaux. I think what we should consider is what we will think about this in 10 years? When all the "OMG it's not bounty!?" ..has stopped haunting us. I'm thinking this era will be considered an art treasure. What I love most about this is that people are discussing it. So it must be imortant

This song is amazing, it really showcases Jonna's voice perfectly, and I am so loving this new direction iamamiwhoami is taking. People are complaining that this is not like their older more darker stuff, but in reality, it is. If you listen carefully, the lyrics are just as dark as the older songs, just tuned to a different tempo of beats. First project was about breaking through one owns demons and fantasies and I'm believe this new project is the aftermath of breaking free. Iamamiwhoami is breaking grounds, yet they are still small and independent. You got to love them :) my idol.

GUYS STOP COMPARING N QUARRELING. Some ppl prefer Pinnochio, some prefers Little Mermaid, or Alladdin, or Beauty and the Beast, or Pocahontas... It doesn't means others r not equally great. Not everything in life comes in a report card or numbers or ranks. Who are we to judge bounty or kin was better? We can hav our own preferences but do not forget iamamiwhoami is just doing their part as an artist to bring us their soundscape and new experiences, so let's indulge n just taste them instead of jumping to conclusions. Art is a form of experience, not a race. Peace.

Embrace the change. It may not be to your liking now, but one day they'll make something again that will be. (And they will keep making more art, they're obviously very driven). Hearing Jonna's voice in a new piece of music still brings me a bit of joy, so I take that :)
