1997 Honda Civic Blower Motor and Resistor

My blower motor spins extremely fast (WHEN IT'S UPSIDE DOWN) and works on all speeds But when it's facing upwards it stops working why?

Possible the brushes are worn. If it's upside down and you tap on it does it start to work ?

When you say getting ground do you mean power? I bought a electrical tester that just lights up, so does it just need to light up on each speed on the resistor to know the resistor isn't faulty or broken?

I might have misspoke if you hook your tester to ground and touch a power source it will light up and vice versa. Your resistor should have a power and ground.

Don’t have one but you can use a housing off a crx I think and you would be able to have one

The cabin air filter should be behind the dash consol where the owners manual would go
