Being alone helped me find myself and improve my creativity. This week I'm spending completely alone in the countryside, and I have to say - it's not as bad as it may seem. There is the difference between being alone and being lonely, and it's definitely not the latter.

I just discovered your KZbin channel and what caught my attention was your title of your video…..I’m a person who loves spending time alone and find peace and recharge when I’m alone ….My question is how would you explain to someone the difference between being lonely or a lonelier,and feeling alone? I believe there’s quite a big difference in being alone (a loner) and being lonely (feeling alone). I think loneliness is bigger than just being alone, it’s about being uncomfortable with your reality, or with your own company. Being alone, and feeling good about it is quite healthy, that means you’re content with who you are, have things to do and enjoy your time with yourself. It doesn’t mean that you’re always alone though - you may have people around, whose company you love, but you’re okay when they’re not around also. Loneliness is deeper, more complicated. It’s being disconnected with who you are. It’s seeking company to fill up your time and your soul, which feels empty. Though sometimes you can also feel lonely when people around you are not right for you, when your energy doesn’t align. There’s so much more I’d like to say about it, but this is just a gist.☺️

You know how people say you can be lonely in a room full of people. That is the truth of it. If you feel unworthy, unwelcome, unwanted, less than, then you can be desperately lonely in a crowd. In fact it's worse than when you're actually alone. I know first hand. I've spent years there. But if you're at peace with yourself, being alone is a quiet and enjoyable opportunity to watch nature, clean house, paint pictures, read, work out, meditate, pray...you get my drift. You're happy in your own company. Hope that adds further explanation for you. All the very best.
