I always forget to recommend the Bastia for jewelry storage, like when your earrings start to hurt, or to travel with extra pendants or rings etc. =) I can also fit a MAC lipstick in mine. nice reminder for hair pins. I have it in a "precious leather" ostrich, in the color capucine!

Great comparison! And thanks for sharing how to learn about the seasonal colors through their SLG'S! Lately I've been using my Bastia to keep folded tissues in rather than carrying the unattractive plastic wrapped tissues the always wind up opened and then you have to waste the top one because the wrapper opened. It looks rather unsightly and I throw it out to get to the next one. The Bastia prevents this from happening now :)

I have a Bastia in Ostrich leather in Bleuet colour. The Calvi duo is very useful but the inside flap takes up space. You can't put the same amount of coins and cards as you would do in a separate Calvi and Bastia. I put only one piece of £10 banknote, folded and couldn't put my regular amount of cards from my Calvi. Still useful but with smaller capacity.

I'm really enjoying my small Calvi/Bastia collection. I have one Calvi in Chevre Mysore that I use daily for extra cards - what are your thoughts on how goatskin holds up over time? And then I have two Bastias that i only bought because i wanted to try out the leather: one in Box calfskin, and one in Barenia Faubourg. Haven't used those yet...I just like to touch and admire them because I'm not ready for the "brand new" to wear off. 😁

Thank you for a good comparison video. I have the same etoupe Calvi. I use it a lot when using my mini bags including my Constance 18. I don't own a Bastia but I usually don't carry coin change with me.

Great comparison GPS. I’m excited to get the new Calvi - love the new feature! I haven’t got a Calvi yet but now I can tell the hubby it’s “different” and why I need (want) it. (Lol) I have two Bastias - one for coins and cash and the other is for my fold up measuring tape and glasses wipes. Yes, I carry a measuring tape. 🙈😂 I still drool of your Bastia - the color is gorgeous! I can’t wait to add a Calvi to my collection! It’s definitely more versatile than the Bastia.

The Calvi is amazing. I personally would use it more, as I like you rarely use cash/coins. I feel it would be an amazing SLG to start my Hermes journey. I also LOVE the new Calvi duo they are doing too. 😁😄🤩

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience with us! I have several Calvis and Bastia coin holders and LOVE them! Bastias hold my old ear phones or small things and the Calvi every day for credit cards! Also Calvis hold spare masks easily! I love the soft leathers but you're right that Epsom is sturdy! I love having different colors. The snap closures are solid and have never failed me😀
