This was so much fun to watch. I always wanted to learn to skate but...my fear of falling always kept me on the sidelines. Still, I think I'll grab the opportunity to learn if we ever get out of this COVID lockdown...but I sure will need someone to hold on to! 😊

Good times, good music, I liked it when the super large group was doing some synchronised dancing, whilst the others skated around. Mr blue cap individual skater at 2.50 was so good his slides were entertaining and his spinning (without head turns) were insane!

I’m from Brooklyn too!!!! I skated at Empire all the time!! Didn’t skate like these guys in this video but I’m glad I learned to skate! The first year I skated was 1996 and the last year I skated at Empire was 2006. I didn’t find out until 2011 that Empire closed in 2007, which I find heartbreaking. Now, I have to find a rink where I’m at.

I've been there twice and it is way overly crowded and some people are horribly rude. But besides that it's a nice rink. Everybody stops wherever they want and block part of the floor to dance and if you don't have a million eyes and fast reflexes you will run into people and knock them down. Most all people there are on roller skates and there are a very few on inline skates. I wore inline and I looked out of place but I enjoyed it.

Man... I grew up in Pittsburgh PA and growing up there was never any need to talk about getting exercise because this is what we did for fun! Roller skate, bicycle riding, dancing, and to this day, even as I am about to turn 55 next month, I still hula hoop! 🙌 Now if I could only get back to doing all the other things, I’d have a slamming body 😂
