Could you post a video about an office space for interior designers? Like where do you keep your samples, sample books, pieces, pictures etc. How do you organize your space to allow for creative thinking & all that?

I love this idea! I’ll have to go through my footage and see if I’ve got any showing how my office was set up. We’ve sold that house and are currently traveling abroad for a season. If I do, I can absolutely make a video showing that. Thanks for the suggestion!

I might be interested in producing custom soft furnishings for clients and Interior Designers (workroom). Would you have any advice on becoming a supplier to designers? I also live in Southern Ontario.

Ooo great question. Unfortunately I don’t know the first thing about that. I had a couple of local suppliers reach out to me on Instagram and offer me samples of their products. They found me through hashtag searches. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hii! I am stay at home mum of 3 ! I live in a rural area and can’t really go out much .. what i wanted to know is if the assignments or any other part of diploma need me to move from time to time?

You’ll need to drive around your city for some assignments. But a lot of the “legwork” can be done on a computer.

What programs did you use and do they provide you with any programs that you can download?

They provide a list of program suggestions you can use for the various assignments. I used Canva and Live Home 3D Pro (to create a floor plan).

​@@iamloved Thanks a lot. Unfortunately it did not work out for me. I enrolled in it myself and had a completely different vision/experience for the course. I found the course does not provide the value that aligns with the amount of money being charged. For the course, the material basically consisted of PDF files (one per module) and only for one module I believe (drawing and planning spaces), there is one or two videos included. Other than that, everything else is basically centred around a PDF file consisting of 70+ pages on average with no supporting materials such as videos, audios and explanations to enhance learning and engage students. I understand most of the people take it because of the certificate/diploma at the end and see the value of it (and that is okay) but I think this course is far from being a good one and receive all the hype it receives. The material lacks a lot of structure and explanations specifically on the examples given within the PDFs.

@@darlanarruda I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. More video content would be helpful for sure - especially for visual learners like myself. But the content in each module is rich and provides a great overview of the topics discussed. Because each module is only released once the assignment from the previous module is submitted, you wouldn't have seen the actual content in future modules. I found the hands-on, practical assignments to be a big piece of the value. Having to put things into practice and receiving guidance and feedback from a qualified tutor was a major part of the learning. That being said, it's not for everyone, which is why they offer the money-back guarantee. Thanks for sharing your experience with me. I wish you all the best as you pursue learning Interior Design!

Hi I "graduated" last night and was wondering, if you got it shipped, how long did you take your diploma? Because I requested one to be shipped to me. Though I think I made the wrong move because I need the Diploma asap for a requirement and I cant see a "download diploma pdf" anywhere and im worried its gonna take months or even a year to get it. All i have is the summary letter and the acknowledgement

Hey! First of all, congratulations! You must be so proud of your accomplishment. In regards to the diploma, I believe I printed mine myself ..but to be honest I don't even remember. I feel like I would have printed it myself though. Sorry I can't be of more help! All the best with your new design adventures!

@@rmb777 hi i messaged my tutor on the site and the student service was the one who answered with my diploma's pdf attached. Though i requested for a hard copy, it hasnt arrived yet and have no idea how to follow up. But they said it could to 1-2 months tops so i have a month and a half to wait so i cant surely answer about the "hard copy" part

Also in Canada, please share what organizations recognize this program. I wanted to find out if it was a legitimate program, and it is not recognized by CIDA, from what I can gather anyway.

You’ll have to research your Province requirement. For some, if you work with a licensed designer or architect for a certain number of hours you can take the governing body’s exam to become a licensed interior designer. It’s different from place to place though.

Waste of money in my case. My tuitor is useless AF, whenever I have a question she tells me to msg the student support, and then they try to brush me off saying I should ask my tuitor for clarification. If it happens that they do explain something, it never really answers my question. Video explanation (especially Module 4) is leaving out the most important points. But they’re good at taking your money tho!

Oh no! I’m so sorry this has been your experience. In my interactions with dozens and dozens of students I’ve never heard of this before. How awful. My tutor was absolutely amazing and was so supportive - especially in Module 4!

Video explanations for modules (4) are useless and lack major information that would help with doing the assignment. In 3 modules we are required to have architectural knowledge in order to do the job architects are supposed to do, not interior designers. I regret wasting 1000 something euros on this bullcrap. Glad it worked out for you tho

Can you become a interior designer even if your drawing skills are poor?

Yes. Computer aided design (CAD) programs work well if drawing isn't quite your thing.
