TV shows and movies shouldn't be teaching kids what love is like. These are made for the drama so that it's entertaining. No one would watching if it was a boring relationship with no kind of conflict. Look at all the relationships people love to ship like Klaus & Caroline or Elena & Damon from the vampire diaries or Chuck & Blair from Gossip Girl. They all are very toxic and everyone loves them because of the love story but also because of the drama but they aren't supposed to be examples of true love

I think they should have let her done voice overs to fill up the silence/lack of dialogues. Cuz wattpad stories are 98% what is going on in the main character’s mind. Like the Kissing Booth and TATBILB, so many voice overs to help understand what the main character is thinking, just imagine them without voiceovers, the excessive staring and awkward glances 😂 (just my opinion)

They softened the characters for the movies. In the books Hardin was horribly toxic and Tessa was so f*cking annoying. He would keep hurting her and yelling and her and controlling every single thing she did and she would get mad and then on the following chapter she would ran back to him “cause she love him and he has troubles” I literally don’t know who I hated the most. By the third book I couldn’t read It any more.

Sean, I loved your reactions first and I'm already following the channel. I freaked out when I saw the After movie notification. I read the books and didn't really like the adaptation, because it is far from being faithful. The physical book as well as the fanfic on Wattpad are very big and their relationship has a start not too fast, but very complex with many scenes of discussion and fights. So I believe that there was not enough time to put everything they went through in the film, there were many scenes together that happen at very distant moments, like the "campfire" scene, Tessa is no longer with Noah. So it was like a relationship without beginning and without dialogues, for sure, which is not lacking in books! I definitely have faith that the second film will be much better. I'm Brazilian, so I'm sorry if I wrote something wrong.
