It's not that it was rushed, it's that they legitimately didn't do it right. It's the only one that MAJORLY strayed from the book. It also ended where the book still had only like three or so chapters left, so in a TERRIBLE spot, which was why there was not a movie made after this one, besides the abysmal rating. If you want a good experience of this franchise, read the books and do book reviews please!

Honestly, The Divergent trilogy could've been Hunger Games and Maze Runner level-good had they not switched directors and split Allegiant into two films. It was really evident that Neil Burger & Robert Schwentke had VERY different interpretations of the books and visions for the movies. There was just lack of consistency and it's a shame that this is what these films turned into when they had a great cast and great foundation from the first movie.

I read the books, personally I did not find them THG or TMR level-good at all (even if you compare the books to the movie adaptations of both series) but of course to each their own

Honestly, I really liked some of the ideas Robert Schwentke brought to Insurgent and specially Allegiant in regards to world-building and sci-fi concepts. But the execution was so messy, and the plot of the books was so vastly simplified to the point that it made zero sense in the movies. It reduced the scale of the conflicts and everything fell flat at the end. This franchise was a wasted opportunity...

Summit Entertainment shot themselves in the foot by choosing to split Allegiant into 2 movies . I personally wouldn't've minded a really long Allegiant movie .

@@marcusmorphew5644 no originally there were gonna be 2 parts . Part 2 was gonna be called Ascendant that was going to be released in March 24, 2017 but it was later pushed to June 2017 to accommodate the power rangers movie but after Allegiant bombed it was cancelled .

I loved the books so much but they ruined the movies so badly. This allegiant story makes no sense at all compared to the books, and there was no need for 2 movies, specially to not finish them in the end... disappointing doesn't even come close to describing how I feel towards it. Actually movies were better than the books but the movies were still bad. The first movie was the best. In the second movie they made some creative choices that rubbed me the wrong way (Four beating a Train, the new simulation delivery system in Erudite. Their fire pattern when delivering the other new simulation delivery system). The third movie creative choices got worse (they had no water or food with them when they went beyond the wall, Four and company surviving a nose dive plane crash with minimal injury, the outside bubble tech, the memory dispersion system that was shutdown but minimal people were affected by the contents in the air and etc). After I watched Allegiant, it prompted me to read the books to see what this world is about. It is clear that Veronica did not know where she wanted the story to go. She also tried to root something in science without actually understanding the science. It's cringy.

This movie is so bad 😂😂😂 first of all, it should have been only one installment, not part 1. Second, the book is also trash but they managed to make it even worse lmaoooo SPOILER ALERT Caleb, Tris’s brother, was supposed to like redeem himself in the end but fuck no, Tris sacrificed herself for him (girl why) and for everyone and she died. SHE FUCKING DIES. For the dumbest thing btw. I was so mad. I’m fine with the main character dying but not in a stupid way. 🤐
