I' hope I'm not 3 years to late, and probably just wasted $25 buying the "Rewire VST" today, but I figured I would ask for help before I contact my bank. How to you get this VST to work? I put it into my VST Plugins folder, I launched the MPC Beats Software that came with the MPC One, I scanned for the VST, found it, but when I selected it for use, it says; "Rewire Not Available" how do I get past this so I can get to work on some beats? I'm also using reason 5.1 if this helps. I could really use your assistance if possible, or if you could direct me to a video that explains how to set things up would be awesome as well... Thank you for your time!!!

Hello brother. Thanks for putting this together. I have watched it several times and gone through all of the comments. I'm still struggle to see how you're getting these to rewire. I have Reason 10 and the MPC one. I can see the MPC as a virtual instrument in Reason but I cannot see the rewire plugin. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

In Reason 10 they removed Rewire unfortunately. You have to use it as a VST now with the Reason Rack VST. Sorry for the confusion

I have a beat and other parts in Reason. however I want to chop a sample on the MPC One for better control and work flow. Is there a way to get that audio directly into reason without have to the MPC as the VST but then still have to export the file from the MPC and import it back into Reason. Thanks in advance.

New Reason doesn't have Rewire any more. You just open a new plugin instance in every track.

Reason 11 racks does open in MPC 2.7....AU only for me. But it sometimes crashes with multiple racks. Is the Rewire method more stable ? Nice Beat BTW!

Reason dropped support for ReWire with 11. So, unless, you've got other versions of Reason already installed, that option might not be available to you... which sucks, ReWire was super useful.

I ended up upgrading to Reason 11 which is now a VST. It's the only way I could get it working in MPC, but I have Windows so I had to use BlueCat Patchwork as well. Ended up being around $250 to upgrade and buy Patchwork 😮‍💨

I've used reason 11 and reason in general for years, I went from FL studio 3 to reason waaay long ago, had never used anything hardware-wise, just pc daws, 10 years and some change later, ive made over 100 good tracks the past 1.5 years, that and along the way I picked up an mpc one, and behringer ms 101 and the 808 behringer remake, finally adding some midi and hardware, then an arturia microfreak, and so on and so forth, but reason will always be my comfort zone, I wish I could have full blown reason standalone on the mpc without the pc

Hi Sight. That Rewire VST seems a bit old. Is this really still the way to go in 2021? I have a MPC One and Reason 10. I know that Reason 11 doesn't support Rewire anymore. But is this the only way it can be done? And also the Rewire VST costs 29 EURO - which i'm not gonna pay if this can be done in other ways with my setup. Any tips?

If you have Reason 11 you can because it's now a VST3/AU plugin. With Windows you have to use BlueCat Patchwork though because MPC Software can't use VST3 yet 🤦‍♂️

The version of Reason that you’re using, is it Reason 10, that I have, or Version 11?

The one in this video was Reason 5 and the Rewire VST will work up to Reason 10. Reason 11 is a VST3/AU now so if you have a Mac u can use it in MPC, if you have Windows you will need BlueCats Patchwork to make it work in the MPC Software.

In details, after putting the .dll file of the 64bit version of Rewire VST into my VSTPlugins folder on C://, I'm able to open the VST in the MPC software (in Ableton too by the way). When I open it, just like you did in this video, there's only two possibilities for me : "none" and "Ableton", Reason isn't there. I tried to drag and drop the .dll into Reason when open and to put the .dll file into the install folder of Reason also but without success. So my questions are; what was your process for Rewire VST to be link to Reason in the first place and is there a way to "scan" for VST in the version 5.0 of Reason (but I found nothing into the advances preferences about that...)?

I'm using a plugin called Rewire VST. Once you open it, select Reason and it should open Reason for you and sync automatically. Drag in your instruments to the Reason rack, add channels in the VST interface and select which instrument you want each midi channel to trigger.

Hello, I dig your videos, I have a question. I have a song completed in the latest version of MPC Software via Rennaisance. The song is dope! However, my VST's are corrupting my CPU and causing glitches and pops. I tried changing the Bit Rate, it worked momentarily but continued. I'm not too familiar with "Re-Sampling". Do you have a video that explains how to resample already mixed individual tracks? What I want to do is re-sample my tracks "With The Processing", I don't want to chop them up, I just need continuous play and then delete the tracks as a whole and use the new program as an actual track to illuminate the CPU issues. The sad thing is I know what I want to do but can't find anyone online that does it the way I need it done. I'm hoping you can help? Thx! - jon

Gotcha. That issue sounds super annoying, lol. To resample there are a couple way to do it. One is to solo the track you want to resample, go to the sample window and change the input to resample. The other is to solo the track and in the track menu select "bounce to sample" or "bounce to audio track". Once you have them "flattened" you can delete the original track and it should get rid of the pops. Also make sure you are using ASIO as your audio driver in preferences, and if you have to you can bump up the latency/amount of milliseconds to get smoother audio.

@@labandlegacy Okay, so this is what I did . . . I "Exported Audio", stayed on the same track, and "Switched" from plug-in to pads . . I dragged the actual sample into one of the pads, and BaM . . I have the audio, I then deleted the entire Plug-in Track and re-recorded the sample into the same exact deleted track . . . it's a HUGE difference! Now though, I'm concerned about what happens when I export all of my tracks to a folder via into Protools . . will I have the ACTUAL "WAVE FILE"? Or will I have somewhat an empty track on protools? Asking because I do not see the actual wave file on the track.
