brakes could be the only major issue for BS4. rear wheel locks up when you brake hard even at low speeds. something to always lookout for now. :D

kishore rajendra Dude, if you apply the rear brake really hard on any bike, you will lock the rear wheel. It is not a problem. That's how motorcycles are. But the Himalayan has a bad front brake. It has very little bite.

Agreed that rear brake locks up when braking relatively hard, but its more frequent with this bike. But that should not happen at low speeds considering not-so-hard rear braking.

kishore rajendra It locks easily but not so easily that it is a problem. In fact even the Duke 200 has a similarly behaving rear brake. Fortunately, it is not hard to lock so that you can do it intentionally when you need to. So not an issue at all.

Dear Strell, A question!!! I'm an owner of Classic 350 for the last 3years and I've done close to 30,000kms. But as I'm 6ft1', I'm feeling back and shoulder pain due to the ergonomics of the bike; May I upgrade to Himalayan in the perspective of comfort? Another question, how different is the fuel economy of Himalayan compared to Classic 350? Thank You Strell.

Bro did you experience any heating issue.. Because i have taken new Himalayan for a test ride in Delhi.. That bike was heating like anything plus i am not sure on build quality improvements they have done on it... Would love to wait for more such reviews and if not satisfied would rather go for dominar..

I didn't face much heating issues. May be because I didn't faced much traffic as you. And on the build quality , it hasn't improved anything from the previous model (as per looks ). Again waiting for owners to talk.

The way the engine delivers power and the exhaust sounds is different from previous versuob. I believe they have changed the amount of fuel and air to the engine. That's what I meant by firing.

when I testrode the new one ,there was heating issue cz I could feel the heat inside my shoes and I could smell my shoes burning,but nothing happened to my shoes.

Yeah man. Heating issues are specific to certain bikes. May be you got a piece which heats more. In my case , it didn't heated much even in riding on traffic.

Strell ya maybe and there was some sound coming from the front area around 2000 rpm. but I like the gearshift it's smooth and I like the power delivery too

Hehe not sure. May be my camera angle is slightly towards right side, which could give a Feel That handle is tilted but vehicle going straight:). Just a possibility.

Yeah, but what does he mean by "firing"? Firing order? I don't think so. That's not something you consider in a single cylinder engine. The sputtering has stopped probably because of EFI which manages fuel better. I still prefer carb, though.
