Truth be told this $1 sale was probably already in the works and the offline mode promise is PR speak to make people forgive them for taking down The Crew 1, but I like to imagine the suited bigwigs scrambling and having emergency meetings when their Star Wars game flopped from people boycotting Ubisoft due to their Crew 1 license revokes. That being said even with that 'so you bought our game? It would be a shame if we were to steal your license back and not refund you," specter looming over it it's still worth buying for $1 just to have a huge open world map to drive around. It might be inferior to the TC1 map, but even so it's still got some details to see and many hours to be spent cruising around the different cities and biomes, never mind that there's an actual racing game with lots to do on top of that. Plus maybe someday in the future modders will be able to port the map from TC1 into the offline mode for TC2, so the gamble of that happening is also worth the $1 pricetag.

Other than knowing that you can race with multiple vehicles in the same race I didn’t know much about this game prefer forza but with it being a $1 on series s as well as steam a as bud the announcement of it being supported with offline play I’ve been curious. -bought it -played for 30 minutes -game is terribly optimized and the graphics aren't great -the taa which you can't disable ruins all detail, the game is just one big headache-inducing blur -refunded Clear graphics are important in games like this, ubisoft don't seem to understand that. I bought the game for 1€ as well and tried it out and i am a massive Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remaster and Trackmania fan. But this game just did not do it for me. At first i was pretty Hype because there were some scene´s where the Map completley flipped over and folded together like in Inception and i thought this was a gameplay mechanic. But unfortunatley it is no gameplay mechanic. I also liked Sonic All star racing Transformed a lot and kind of compare it to that since you can transform as well. But the Vehicles are so boring to drive (in my opinion of course). Plane is really slow. I was driving once from a spot to the next challenge at it was just a plain field of grass. Just hold gas button. There is no interesting drift mechanic. If too fast you just break a little. No Nitro mechanic. It fills automatically. You dont gain more through various means like destroying obstacles or drifting or driving close to things and stuff like that. The game looks very nice! The menu like in most nfs games is totally confusing. The open world map is totally bloated with symbols (on the mini map and map) Switching to different Vehicles is cool (can you actually do it in a normal race as well or is it only on open map?) They really needed something to make the game interesting and i thought it will be the crazy changeing landscape but it is not. Thank you for letting me play the game for 1€ but it is not for me Cheers :)
