I feel like I have been through every bag in existence in the hunt for the perfect EDC bag. In the last 20 years. Slings, packs, camera bags, modified messenger bags, etc. The wotancraft 10l has been my edc for the last 1.5 years or so. Best bag EVER! You hit all of the great points of the bag, but one thing I don’t see mention is small and simple but I have found to be so important - the swivel on the strap attachments. Most other slings get the strap all twisted around and you have to fight with them to get the padding facing the correct way, but not the wotancraft. Weight, quality and modularity make it damn near perfect.

I just use the Fujifilm-branded Domke bag that I got for free with my X-T3. 😄 It's only big enough to hold a camera + 2 lenses (ie. X-T5 with 16-55 attached + 80mm is uncomfortably tight), and I sometimes use the belt loop on the back to hold an Oben mini tripod (2 legs through loop, and 3rd leg on the outside to somewhat clamp it in place). If I want to carry more than 2 lenses, then I'll wear a small hip pouch which can hold 1-2 smaller lenses (ie. 23mm f/1.4 + 30mm f/2.8 macro). 🙂

That’s a lot of straps!

Hello, I'm interested in this bag as a diaper/dad bag and have a couple questions. 1) I'm wondering how securely/tight this bag can be worn. I want to make sure I can wear it in a way that it definitely won't swing forward and whack my little one when I'm bending over to pick up my child or when I'm running around trying to keep up with them. 2) Can a 700 ml/24 oz water bottle (Owala style) fit in the pass through sleeve and stay secure? I'm wondering if that's a better spot that the side pockets since the bottle may be too tall for them. Thanks!

I use mine as a dad/diaper bag, while still carrying a camera. 1. The bag can be worn securely and tightly on my back (and front). Leaning forward will not swing forward and knock out your little one. Unfortunately, I know the bane of things loosely slung on my shoulders and accidentally bumping them in the head. 2. Yes, the pass-through sleeve can fit a 24 oz Owala securely without slipping out. It's a slightly tight fit, but not so tight it will compromise the stitching. Also, the front pocket will lose some capacity, but not entirely.

@@eljaykooljay This is so helpful, thanks! Sounds like you'd recommend the Pilot 7L. Do you have any other pros or cons that come to mind? Were there other crossbodies you've tried as a dad bag that you like?
@ThunderShoe2 ай бұрын
@@eljaykooljay One more question about the fit: Would you be able to explain how you adjust the strap or other parts of the bag so that it doesn't swing forward or around? I actually reached out to the company and they said the bag would probably swing around under some circumstances. So I'm definitely curious how you've been able to wear it securely.

@@ThunderShoe I was using the Bellroy Venture Sling 9L for over half a year, but it always felt less than 9L. The Pilot 7L carries more, even without the modules. My only negative at the moment is that I wish the "origami" divider was more like that of Peak Design's because I have smaller Fujifilm lenses, but I make do.
@ThunderShoe2 ай бұрын
@@eljaykooljay I see, yah I've heard that the Bellroys feel smaller than listed volume. Back to the Pilot for one last question, do you wear or adjust it a certain way so that it stays secure and tight?

Great looking bag. My only worry is that it’s too easy to open for thieves.

They would have know how to jimmy it open. It’s not a simple pull and release
