Thanks, Matti. I purchased the WotanCraft Sling Pouch 3.5L for EDC (when not taking my Olympus gear) a few weeks ago. Really impressed with it! Last night my better half and I watched your video, and I've now ordered a WotanCraft Pilot 7L for myself and also one for my wife.

I have the brown Wotancraft Pilot 7l, very impressive quality, agree with every thing you said. I can put inside two lenses and my x-t3 with a third lens. The pockets are really well designed, and you can slip a piece of clothing into the space between the front pocket and the body of the bag. But it's not a backpack, it's a satchel, the weight is borne by a single shoulder, so be careful if you want to be away for several hours, it can be tiring. But overall, very happy to have it. And I have also a pocket module, I'm using it every day, for carrying my phone, my wallet, my glaces, my keys ....

Both bags look very useful for me too. But I prefer the brown tone of the 7l. I’ve had issues with some bags damaging the fabric of thinner trousers as they rub on your hip. What are your thoughts on that aspect?

This looks like an interesting bag, maybe the one i have been looking for. I want something smallish, not too bulky and kind of waterproofed as my EDC to carry an slr with maybe an extra lens (not big one) or two slrs (mirrorless and analog) for street photography, depending on situation. I've been trying to find one with the tablet slip inside so it's protected (I don't carry a tablet, but i carry drawing sketchbook pens etc, maybe a book to read). I like the flap as it protects better from both elements and thieves.

I have the 10L in black. I fill it to capacity during transport, but at my destination I’ll only carry what I think I’ll need for the day, that means it often has spare space in it, but everything stays where it should and it’s comfortable. I don’t use the large divider to form an iPad slot, so that also helps the bag to sit nicely against me. Now I’m just trying to rationalise my ‘need’ for the 3.5L bag.

Hello, thanks for this review! I'm looking into this bag as a diaper/dad bag. In your experience, how stable can it be made to be when worn on the back? I don't want to have it swing forward and whack my little one either when I'm bending over to pick them up or if I'm chasing them around!
@mattisulanto3 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if you are being serious, but if you are, I'd better be careful about what I say. I wouldn't want to put your little one at any risk. I don't think I have enough experience at wearing the bag behind my back, bending over and chasing someone around to share a solid advice.

I'm not sure why you'd doubt me being serious, but thank you for answering. Crossbody bags swinging forward and nearly whacking my little one or a water bottle slipping out of a side backpack pocket are rare scenarios in my experience but it has happened. Great review, Matti! I'm looking for a bag for street for my Olympus E-M5 III or PEN-F, so I don't need anything huge. I'm thinking of the 3.5L or even the 2L. Too bad there's no store here with these bags in stock to try them out (I almost bought the Peak Design slide after all the raving reviews, but trying it showed me I didn't like it). I am looking for something inconspicuous but functional. The 3.5 or 2L will be just fine for a camera with a small lens like Panasonic 20mm f1.7 or Olympus 17mm f1.8. I might even go by with just an add on of this brand? That would be nice to know! Either way, thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!

The Wotancraft bags looks nice, but I prefer bags without outside pockets like those on Wotancraft. I would like to see more camera bag manufacturers make bags where the lid opens away from the boy, that lid almost always get in the way, also I would like to see that the lid when it opens away from the body, that it makes a secure shelf to place gear, fx when you shift Lens, battery or memory card, I have only seen one brand that did that, but I do not remember the brand name, anyone remember that ? Now I use an older Crumpler, when it was new I did not like, it slipped easy off my shoulder and the velcro was noisy, but not I wear it across my body with the strap at my opposite side of the bag and I like the velcro now when walking in streets with all kind of people, nobody can sneak into the bag without I can hear the noisy velcro, so I have recycled my own Camera Bag. 😊

Wow, what is the coincidence they sent you bags and you did a video? C'mom Matti, I thought you were different. I do not recommend shoulder/messenger bags due to the risk of neck injury. Yea, my friends losing movement in their arms didn't think so, either.
@mattisulanto8 ай бұрын
The disclaimer is there because I have to include it and I want to be straight with my audience. Why should I not make a video if I like the product? I decline most of the products that are being offered to me as "free" (and there are a lot of them) but if I receive an excellent product, I like to share that on my channel. Is there some scientific proof of the neck injury risk? I mean research, study, peer review or something. To be honest I find it hard to believe that a shoulder bag alone would be a high risk. After all millions of people are carrying a shoulder bag every day without problems. However, if a person has other health related issues I suppose a shoulder bag, or any bag, could contribute to that. I'm talking about shoulder bag users in general, not about your friend specifically.
