+Carousel Curls It's SO difficult to choose just a few: but this song and "Kingdom of Welcome Addiction" are my favorite IAMX tunes because of their sheer, simple power. The drumming bass rhythms; the combination of soft and soaring vocals; the deceptively raw, grief-stricken lyrics; the breathtaking introductions and bombastic choruses. Honestly, I can't fathom how anyone could walk away untouched by Chris's magic after listening to this song.

I too can relate to this song. I grew up in the heart of Hollywood California. I know what it's like to grow up in the system, chewed up and spat out onto the street at 12 yo. Whores, drugs, neon lights. Beautiful and scary. Everyday a test. I hate it I miss it. But I grew up and became succseful by myself. No retreat but I often wonder if they think of me.

this song have som Silent Hill 2 vibes, but more psicologically deep. feels like a personal hell mad of memories of childhood trauma, tough adolescense and with all that, nostalgia for that days of joy and ain that made the adult whos singing the song, looking at the remaining ruins of their past
