I think that this is a very good performance indeed. My only complaint regarding the video concerns the visual setting. Why on Earth, in a video of a Lied that epitomizes 19th-Century Romanticism, do we need to see 21st-Century automotive and railway traffic zipping around in the background?

sarastrosmin Manchmal muss man beim Singen bestimmter Sequenzen den Text aussprachetechnisch an die Musik anpassen. Gerade für einen Nichtmuttersprachler hat er einen hervorragenden Job gemacht bei der Aussprache.

Very overrated singer. I heard him sing Winterreise in Stockholm and it was quite boring, poor contact with the audience and flat on and off.Very strange articulation and phrases. Though I got tremendous respect for all classical singers it was still a disappointment. I am a ex professional singer so I know what it takes.
