They put the Star Fin in backwards!! The mass produced polycarbonate ones actually had ‘front’ embossed on the leading edge that went in the fin box

Geoff McCoy designed and made the Lazor Zap. It's supposed to be used with a dolphin fin or a longer, slender finger fin, and nowadays a gull wing fin.

Lazor Zap was early 80's, not late 70's. Star fin was 1984.

You can tell these guys ride thrusters on all the other days. These boards look so cool, but I'd love to see them ridden with flow rather than aggression. It looks like someone trying to drive an old MG like it's a new Ferrari.

Starfin is backwards, Ben Lexen was the man behind the Starfin as it was a takeoff of the Americas cup Wing Keel. Get it straight Boys!

Starfin was 1984. The original board was designed by Cheyne & Ben Lexcen and shaped by Terry Fitzgerald. Whether that board could be classed as a "Lazor Zap" is questionable and we would have to ask Cheyne.
