Had the privilege of going to see the unofficial opening of Curtis' mural. A fabulous day, the mural is stunning. Manchester needs to start acknowledging its talent with statues of its musical icons. Like him or not, Curtis touched and connected with people through his lyrics. A legend .

John Mayall - Bluesbreakers etc. was also from Macclesfield' ...Ian's mural is absolutely stunning ' a very talented artist painting a very talented musician ...and long overdue '

Mr Methane was originally produced by Martin Hannett. Not many people know that.
