We have a 4 month old German Pinscher puppy we've had for 2 weeks. She came from a breeder that did not train her whatsoever. This is going to be challenging.

This sounds like the same philosophy of Differential Reinforcement and being directive and praise specific with human Applied Behavior Analysis..
