Great video! Love Ian and his music. I wouldn’t be surprised if Greg Kurstin had something to do with both the Sia and Adele song choices since he was a producer on both and he’s incredible at what he does.

Producers and Artist want to do things differently and patetully make a new trend or iconic sound. Sai vocals vocoder "Throw them back" makes her real powerful natral voice "I'm gana swing fro.." stand out in contrast.

It's not even arguably one of the best songs in recorded music history, it is one of the best songs in the history of recorded music! .. to listen to, study, or walk around the grocery store and wonder why NEW RULES will be playing decades still after I am dead in this horrible store!! 🥰

It’s also not thinking too much and trusting your process. Take that risk. If people like it cool if they don’t oh well. Art is subjective. When human beings didn’t have technology and all they had were trees their voices and water they made music without thinking.

Accidental stuff is the best. Especially if you're with all your knowledge and experience being busy with some kind of new tool or function, you don't know yet. Push a button, flip a switch... Oops... what's happened there? wahahaaaa

Do producers ever listen to their mixes in actual dance clubs? Where the equipment is too cheap or too blown out from bass to ever sound good again?
