There is a way to be confident without sounding like you know/understand everything more than anyone else. He always talks about how he’s the biggest fighter on a given card, how he’s the draw, which is just silly. He refers to himself in the 3rd person, I’ve heard him refer to himself as a “very talented young man.” Forget the stuff with his wife and all that, I don’t care about that, but the first time I saw an interview with him he just rubbed me wrong. It seems forced, rehearsed, too much of a character. Like a kind of bad Connor imitation. People like someone genuine and with some humility, I don’t think he has either. Again, the wife/family stuff means nothing to me. I’m not a Colby fan and I do think Garry is a talented fighter, but on the mic I just don’t find him likable at all. That’s my take.
