Fan of Deep Purple since 1970, I find that Perfect Strangers by these girls is perfect performed; Ian Paice, the great drummer of Deep Purple, also agrees ! This performance is as great as the original !!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 By the way, I think Paice is the greatest drummer that I've ever seen !!!!!!!!

I saw Purple in '86 -- the Perfect Strangers tour, in fact, and not again until 2017. Very different times and venues, very enjoyable shows. If these ladies ever get to Las Vegas, I will be there.

@@OceanbornAngel SPREAD THE SECRET: those shows aren't merely fake, top to bottom (i was on AGT and what aired was radically altered)....an American Idol DOES NOT WANT GREAT TALENTS. The secret concept was to use ORDINARY people (who are NOT Born Stars and will never be stars even if they get fake famous)-----SO MORE ORDINARY PEOPLE WOULD WATCH THE SHOW AND WANT TO VOTE AND AUDITION. Yes, the show could've been incredible --- there are zillions of genius frontmen and women around the globe, who are Natural Rock Stars or Pop Stars with unique voices and looks. NONE OF THEM would ever be allowed on AI, b/c it' sa CASH grab, not a talent competition. (HA: my friends and I did an insane act on AGT and Sharon, Howie, and Peirs WALKED OFF as if in protest at how bad we were, but it looked scripted [cuz it was]. Ha: we refused to leave the stage and kept hamming it up as security chased us! [5,000 audience in NYC], and then Nick Cannon said "the 3 judges walked out on you! How does that feel?" and I said "I think Sharon had to go change Ozzy's diaper" --- a fucking GREAT ad-libbed retort that never made it to NBC. FUCK!) (CRAZY: we appeared in neither of the 2 NYC audition shows on NBC, but friends say they saw us in ads etc. Took like 5 months before we found ourselves in theAtltanta GA shows! These shows get mostly ppl from NYC or LA... and then just LIE that they're from ohio and other parts of the nation. SHEEESH. Capitalism and hyper-greed RUINS EVERYTHING.)

ocasionally those Talent shows do throw up an absolutly fantastic talent, agreed its only about 0.1% of the time (Travis Cormier, We McDonald, Christina Grimmie (although she was already a youtube star before Americas the voice),Brian Justin Crumb), but there are also a huge amount of talent that appears on youtube that never tries to "Make it" the traditional way, some of my favorites that i have discovered through KZbin (granted not all are purely amature but...) Peter Hollens, Avi Kaplan (as Solo), Pentatonix, Home Free, Sam Tsui, Kurt & Max Schnieder, Alex Groot, Post Modern Jukebox and all the fantastic singers they use.......the list is endless

I saw them in that tour also. They were fantastic even though we never got to hear Smoke on the Water. Gillian and Blackmore were arguing backstage and the show ended one encore short.

@@gregm17 I saw them in 1985 at Knebworth, which was a great show. I saw them again in 1988 at Wembley when Blackmore refused to do an encore and I saw SotW played without a guitar. John Lord picked up the melody and Roger Glover moved forwards and across the stage to fill the space left by Ritchie.

This is one of the best songs Deep Purple ever wrote. I’ve seen them do it live many times and I have to agree with Ian Paice that these musicians really nailed it. The keyboard and guitar playing really have the same feel as Lord and Blackmore, the rhythm section are rock solid, the drummer really setting the pace, and the singer is fabulous. Where are they from.

Keyboardist is cute and they all are talented. This is one of the better performances I have seen From Strange Kinda Women..The drummer like the Chief said kept the tempo correct. That is why Ritchie always stayed close to his drummer's. Ritchie said they kept the timing together. Paice was a monster and his rolls and Fills weren't equaled by anyone. His arrangements were all different. He was one creative genius in those accounts. Everyone talks about Ritchie and Lord. Those guys we're geniuses and Paice was right with them.

This is stupendous! I have listened to DP many thousands of times in the course of more than 40 years. And I heaped the same kind of praise on Strange Kind of Women soon after hearing several of their DP performances. But who am I to give judgement? I am not even a musician! I am just a fan. Therefore, I am not simply happy - I am overjoyed and I am absolutely thrilled to hear Ian Paice give the girls exactly the same judgement as I did! "They nail it!" This is incredible - and foretells a lot of success for the girls! Keeping fingers crossed for this to happen!

I could see them maybe trying out *Perfect Strangers Kind of Women,* getting both the songs Perfect Strangers *AND* Strange Kind of Women in their name. *THAT?* Would make sense. And be kinda cool, albeit a bit long for a band name. Otherwise? You just sound like you're lamely trying to hit on the whole band, and that's just really creepy, dude.

I have been listening to DP since my youth....my own music was shaped by them. These girls do an absolute fantastic job!! Incredible! Ian is correct. Such a decent and humble man, and if he praises, it is deserved. Saw the latest outfit of DP in South Africa some years ago, and as much as I loved them without Jon Lord, I’d rather watch these girls. Even Ian Paice will agree...they are a tad prettier......

Amazing Ian..they did nail it...I"ve spent 51 years nailing Deep Purple...I met Ian and Deep Purple at house of Blues Myrtle Beach SC..They Talked to dedicated fans and spent nearly 4 hours with us in the back parking lot loading dock area..They were absolute on fire this evening,,Gillans voice was like 1972 all over,They also reached back to the older songs was mind blowing ,,no no no ..no one came..I'm alone..Best night of my life..

It was an amazing experience, I was 18, it still might be the best concert I have ever seen, the fire crackers at the end of the concert woke the whole of Stevenage up! These ladies really do it, imagine them playing to a place like that, would be wonderful.

Ian is definitely one of the greatest drummers of all time. IMO, he's right up there with Bonham, Baker, Moon, and Starr. This band did a very good job with the song, but I would like to see the drummer be a little less busy. Just keep it in the pocket and the fills a bit more spread out. Very tight band. Good on yer.

i always argue that Bonham is the WORST of the Big Three: Paicey is the most skilled and ferocious, and Bill Ward (Sabbath) is the most creative and also more skilled than Bonham. (Did you know Bonham was the BEST MAN at Tony Iommi's wedding?!! How is that fact not well known? Plant and Bonham are from Birmingham, where Sabbath is from.)
