R.I.P. Ian Tyson Gone…, but never forgotten as a Canadian country artist, will be missed. 😢🇨🇦

Ian Tyson: authentic cowboy, movie-star looks, heart-melting tenor, intimate with an amazingly beautiful woman and his musical equal, and writer of the song that captures the lonesomeness Canada’s vast distances enforce on young love, “Four Strong Winds.” He had a few bad habits, never got his due, but bigger stars were his biggest fans.

Well the cards have been played. You would have to be blind not to see the peaceful easy happiness flowing between those two. I pray for her tonight to carry "Four Strong Winds" in her heart.

Am laughing myself silly about the book content. It put a great big smile all over and under . Ian Tyson you are far from alone. You and your music are loved by many. I pray that God will send you someone to fill your heart and soul with joy. I agree with Neil Young about your musicality. Just discovered your music a while back, and what is not to love. I pray for you to be *Happy*

Neil Young put it perfectly...Ian Tyson is one of the most genuine, and down to earth folks you could ever meet. Nothing false, and NEVER a snob.

Our string trio is still playing Four Strong Winds and it will always be a favorite of ours. The lyrics bring back memories for many folks and I've always been hooked on the melody. It has weathered the test of time.

Evinia was 73, and Ian was 77 when this splendid concert/documentary was made in 2010. It's well worth owning the double DVD.
