Ian returns to the ET Arena for his first match in 7 months, and his opponent will push him to the limit. Chris (AKA Tweener Addict) has more than flashy shots at his disposal, and Ian is about to find out just what a challenge he can be...

Awesome having an RT match again! And outdoors is terrific. We’re you not able to put the camera on the fence? I definitely think that a higher viewing angle makes it easier to see what’s going on, especially in the far court. But love the new content!

Loved this. Thanks RT. It truly feels like a multiverse reality when you watch the same match live and then with the edited version that just adds a level of brilliance that ads to the icing. Looking forward to part 2! Cheers! M

@@REALTENNIS So so true. I have done some basic editing on my channel and it's still a bunch of work. I just can't imagine the amount of video memory, sounds, music, syncing etc, and a really good level of developed talent one has to mix together to come up with a product like this. Like someone in your comments said a few years back, people don't often realise that you're a media company, producing tennis content.

Honestly, I really enjoy the physicality of the baseline, and I want to be better at that part of my game, so I almost always open my singles matches feeling out if it could work or not, unless I'm playing somebody who's clearly way above my level.

A question for RT.. what tension do you guys use? From what I remember, correct me if I’m wrong, it’s about 52-54 pounds? If so, why do you guys use such high tension when the pros use around 53 plus minus (with some anomalies).
@REALTENNIS
@REALTENNIS 11 ай бұрын
I don't know about everybody else but I'm (Ian) at 53lbs. 15-20 years ago everybody was higher.....Sampras was in the 70s! In college I was using 61lbs, so I've come down quite a bit.
@mylovelymr2tennisballs871
@mylovelymr2tennisballs871 11 ай бұрын
@@REALTENNIS wow 61! Have you thought about going lower? Say around 48. Late 40’s seems to be popular in Asia. No offense intended but With your lack of racquet head speed on your forehand (due to coaching for so many years of course), going to a 40 something tension might help you with some pop off the forehand. I might be speaking out of my ass here so correct me if I’m wrong.
@TenisAmador

@@mylovelymr2tennisballs871 There is no "magic recipe". There are still Pros on the 55's (but those usually use a poly/gut hybrid). A lot of guys are in the 20s (Mannarino!), 30s (Thiago Wild strings with 39) and low 40s. Sampras was in the 70s, yes, but with a full bed of gut. Poly is stiff, so you can get lower (with a full bed), that will help prevent injuries. Personally I use anything between 48/46 and 44/42 (Tecnifibre TF40 305 18x20, strung with YPTP Yellow 1.25, different tension for mains/crosses).

chris-harder to lob outdoors lol unless it's crazy windy it's easier than indoors since there's infinite clearance. great game though, chris played very well, a whole 0.5 level above Ian.
