Ianbits is an iceberg. I watched this video right when it came out and I enjoyed it for what it was. There were strengths, no weaknesses. Ups and definitely no downs, and I came away from this video positive even though I want videos from Ian every 5 minutes and since he doesn't do that I become perplexed in ways I cannot explain. Even though it inspires intense frustration in me I don't get that video every 3 seconds, it's outweighed by intense admiration with zero frustration coming back again. Also how was that an iceberg? I don't know I just repeat most of the words from his videos. 🐋

I always look at FFXV as the martyr that had to die so later Square games could flourish. You can REALLY see how they carried aspects of and lessons from this game’s development into FFVII Remake/Rebirth, XVI, and even KH3. XVI obviously wanted to reach the same spectacle as that Leviathan battle. Rebirth really embodies what XV’s open world and chapter structure could have been. It’s a shame, but I like to think XV has already been remade better a couple of times now; spiritually, anyway.

I actually really liked 15. Sure it's an insane fever dream about a boy band saving the world but I loved the music and combat mechanics for the most part
@zenithdragon9 ай бұрын
In the alternate reality where the game became a muscial, the main characters would have 100% been a boyband with Noctis as the frontman. Also, I still think that post-time skip Noctis looks like a young Norman Reedus.

Man, despite all this game's fault, namely the almost complete absence of any compelling narrative. I enjoyed this game so much. I put around a 100 hours into it and its my favourite FF game. (Granted im an FF newbie, ive only played the 1&2 GBA remake, FF13, FF14,FF7 remake part one and world of final fantasy)

Also lol. This game was kinda funny. It was like the ultimate… self insert RPG for Japanese man children lol. You get to portray being a cool royal who is hot and has cool friends. Noctis’s whole backstory and personality and visuals were basically like… Bella swan of twilight LOL. The dude is basically Sasuke from Naruto. Who btw was the most popular character in Japan during most of the series. Japan likes these quiet brooding not physically buff types. Westerners prolly liked Gladio the most lol. The game sold hella copies in Japan. Not surprised haha. Self insert to the max lol

I absolutely love XV. It’s one of my favorite games of all time and I’ll never forgive square enix for cancelling the rest of the Dawn of the future DLC. I have a pipe dream that one day, they’ll remaster the game and include newly developed content to wrap up the story more neatly, like the content they’ve added from unused ideas in previous FF remasters.

FFXII and FFXV are my favorite final fantasy games. While I could give a big list of arguments for why I love XII, I barely can tell why I love XV. I realise and agree with all the weaknesses the game has and it's still one of my favorite games of all time. I guess the world is just that fascinating to me.

The journey aspect and characters of XV was great (except Lunafreya). The moment where you pick your favorite photo before the final boss was a sweet moment. Gameplay was hot garbage though

@@VuNguyen-fv5jl I had fun even with the gameplay, but looking at it objectively, yed it was garbage lol Keeping a button pressed the whole fight to dodge everything is a bit silly

I sometimes wonder if this story will ever get it's YRP arc, where the bois work out their issues while kinda sorta hoping they can do something to get their Tidus back. If it exists, I've not heard of it, but I've been kind of expecting it.
@Ianbits9 ай бұрын
I think that's basically what the DLC was going to be. It was going to be about how Bahamut (crystal push up man) was the big bad and they came together to stop him or something like that. I haven't finished the book yet.

Just occurred to me how easily that meshes with the plan to make a musical. Hmm.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good time with this game, for me it was indeed a 6/10 experience. I didn't enjoy exploring the open world ,because using the car just didn't feel good ,it was tiring ,so that played a big role to why I didn't like the characters,until the final part. In general it felt like the biggest missed potential I've ever seen . The finale was great though ,but it was everything before it that was the problem. Lunafreya's death made me feel nothing ,because she was non existent almost. The villain also didn't really click on me. All these made me really not want to play the dlcs or watch the movie and stuff . It's a shame though cause this one indeed could be one of the greatest RPGs

Honestly, I hated the battle mechanics, it was interesting at first, but as I discovered it was shallow, it ended up boring me, and by the end where you have this gauntlet of fights in Insomnia, I was losing it Then, I finally got to Ardyn, and it felt... Well, it wasn't satisfying, so much so that I couldn't even bring myself to play the DLC chapters I hated the pacing too, there was almost nothing for me until I got to Chapter 9 before Leviathan, from there, the story was all I could think about, the characters got a lot to go through and everything was just right, and it also makes me mad I really feel like it could be up there with XVI as one of my favorites, but it lacks so much that I just can't If there was a way to kind of salvage it, like, a "remake" of sorts with the content that was made different media, better gameplay and a more interesting final battle, it might just be what saves it for me (also I think it being open world might have been a bad shot, but I honestly don't see it being done otherwise, maybe areas big enough for the car to make sense, but that's just me)

This game is pretty terrible to me from the combat being too simple and bland and story being a mess,versus xiii/xv Nomura’s version had much more promise and to say Nomura wanted a ffxv to be a musical is complete bullshit that article came out 3 days after the versus xiii to xv trailer was revealed and there is no actual quote from Nomura so ya just wanted to clarify that,another thing the game changing every 3 months I think Nomura was adding more and more stuff onto the game the official story was finalized in 2010 so ya that’s another lie I think but ya xv I really did not enjoy there seemed to be much more potential with versus xiii/xv Nomura’s version with it’s darker tone and just overall more interesting concepts,it felt like in xv they had no idea what they were doing and that shows within the story and what a clusterfuck it is

www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/13/e3-2013-final-fantasy-xv-was-almost-a-musical This article directly states that Nomura is the one that brought it up. Again, I think there's a decent chance he was trolling but it's from him directly. The other is a quote directly from the Character Designer's facebook, there's a few sources on it. I don't mean to be overly critical of Nomura, I think I came off too much like that. Square Enix is likely far more responsible than he is and I'd be interested to see his vision realized in a world where he wasn't split between too many projects.
