MASH Dynamics No 6. Per Point Attributes

initional velocity not working?

Every per point parameter works for me perfectly except for initial velocity (rotational initial velocity works though) any thoughts as to why this might be happening?

Figured it out. I needed to set some arbitrary number first for initial velocity within the dynamics node. Simulation works perfectly after doing that. I am using Maya 2019 student version just in case you are interested in checking out the issue.

Hii! I have the same problem, what do you mean if you say “set some arbitrary numbers”? In what part of the dynamic node?

@@itsMarviiin Thanx Noah Mitchell, had the same problem. It's also still there in Maya 2020... You need to go to the "Mash_Dynamics" Node and set the value of the "Initial Translational" to 0.001 to activate this attribute if it's set to 0.000 it will not be calculated in the MASH_ChannelRandom Per Point Adjustment Channel. (the Attributes are in X,Y,Z order, so if you want the Initial Velocity to work you need to put this value the second channel)
