You are the best instructor ever. Got a 3 wheel scootmobiel and didn't know how yo control it and got scared. Thank you 👍🏼

Thank you very much for your lessons, Ian; they have been very helpful. You said it yourself: when teaching a beginner, you cannot take things for granted and you need to break the learning process into pieces and put yourself in the rookie's shoes. You did that in your scooter series, breaking every single aspect into pieces and taking your time to explain everything into detail, so a BIG thank you for that :)

I’m a very new rider in a hilly city. Lights and stop signs on inclines. I usually drive my car to where I might be thinking to ride my bike and check out road conditions. I’ve never parked. I ride around and come home and walk my bike into the garage. I also walk it out and turn it around to exit the driveway. I’m going to practice parking in a lot when few or no cars are there. I haven’t ridden in traffic and only a short distance on the main road. Very short. I haven’t been out of subdivisions around mine. All within 2 miles. I hope I get braver soon! Lol. You make it look easy so I keep watching your videos for tips and tricks.

Thanks for sharing. I like how you are approaching your learning journey at your own pace... step by step. It is very important you build your skills and confidence within your own comfort zone.

@@ianwatsons . Can I suggest a video on how to put gas in at a gas station? Do you put the back stand down to keep the bike level? I can get to a station through neighborhoods and don’t need to go on main roads but I’m not sure how to use the pump. All this time I’ve filled a gas can at the station and put gas from the can in my bike at home. ☺️. Thanks for your response. BTW. I needed the video on washing the bike as well. I wasn’t sure how to do that. I have since washed it in my driveway and blew it dry with a leaf blower….from a distance. Lol.

Great videos fella. Going on holiday to Italy next month and hired a Vespa for the day. Never ridden a scooter and your videos have helped me feel slightly less nervous about it all 😊

Hey mate, by far best how to drive scooters on KZbin! Maybe you would consider making some vids about the following: -How to drive safely when there is a passenger on your scooter -how to drive safely in wet conditions -understanding all the road rules as well as some of the local driving behaviour in Thailand (with some infield footage) All your vids have helped me so much. Thanks legend 👍

Just a handy hint with chocking the scooter, you can also activate your rear brake to lock the rear wheel when on a slope, this can be done by tying the rear brake lever or (recommended) using a braking lock device that you can install.

That's a excellent idea!

You have long legs, so it’s easy enough for you to walk your bike back. For us shorties…not so easy.
