Thanks for your help. I ended up having to reset the entire pool system because Iaqua wasn't responding. Once I did that I was able to follow your instructions and get it all set up on the new router. You're the man.

If connecting to the Eero Max 7, you do indeed need to create a "Guest Network" to connect, at least I did. The light on the iaqualink app took a few minutes to turn from red to green so I didn't think it worked at first. Once you connect through the "Guest Network" and the light in the app is green, you can switch your phone or tablet (whatever you're using to control the iaqualink app) back to your Primary Network and the app stays connected. I also enabled the "iAqualink" skill in Alexa. That actually took almost 24 hours for everything to propogate.. but all of my pool equipment now shows as a device in the alexa app. It's awesome to be able to turn on everything with voice commands... waterfall, jets, fountain, aux lighting, etc. 😎

Make sure to pause your VPN on your phone if you're getting connection errors. That fixed my connection issue. Once the initial connection is made you can turn your VPN back on with no issues.

An issue that some new routers are facing is that they will no longer connect to the iAqualink 2. After much frustration I discovered that if I enable the roaming feature on my new mesh router system connection fails. Disable this router function and once again there is connectivity. After consulting with Jandy, I was told I would need to upgrade to the the iAqualink 3 to eliminate this problem. A rather expensive solution, I tried to piggyback my old router onto my new system with a specific mac filter to allow this single device access. Although it worked, it created frustrating reliability. I finally bit the bullet and directly ran ethernet cable, completely bypassing the WiFi capability. Jandy pricing has become completely ridiculous.

Used the same procedure for my aqualink 2.0, but I had to setup a guest connection for the new eero setup. It’s the only way that it connected quickly. Thanks for the help on here.

Do you have iAqualink 2.0? Maybe the Antennae was wired up wrong. You may want to call a local pool repair company that has experience repairing these. If your in Orange County, CA give us a call. You may also reach out to Zodiac / Fluidra the manufacturer at 800-227-1442

I run a 90 pool route business There is no such thing as a 10 year warranty on ANY issue much less a service issue. pool plaster carries a 1 year warranty that they almost always will try and get out of and pentair equipment carries only a 2 or 3 year warranty I deal directly with the rep since most builder get the checks and run. I promise you there is no such thing as a 10 year warranty on anything you have pool related. they lied it sounds like. our service calls 130 and if we get an approved repair we take it off the repair bill total.

I'm trying to connect an eero wifi system with an iAqualink 2.0. I have not been able to successfully do so. Does anyone know what the magic is? I have tried every knowledge base article that I can find.

The iAqualink 2.0 will only connect to 2.4GHZ wifi. You may want to try calling Zodiac / Fluidra tech support.

Same problem. On Eero settings you can disable 5 GHz for 10 minutes. I tried, but still didn’t work. Has anyone found another workaround?

@@davidd.6485 it does work with eero since eero only support WPA2 security setting while iAqualink only works with WPA. The tech support said only iAqualink 3.0 supports WPA2. So, you either upgrade to iAqualink 3.0 or find a new router supporting WPA.

@@shengliu846 Thanks! I ended up returning my Eeros and now have an awesome gateway to my new AT&T fiber. The gateway is dual-band and the iAqualink connected to it without any issues.

You can connect IAqualink 2.0 to an Eero mesh, but you will need to use the Guest network (which I believe is a 2.4 GHz). Once it is connected, you will be able to connect with it, even if your phone is connected to your main network. I gathered this info from other posts, and it WORKS!

When I click setting on the aqualink wifi it doesn't give me the option for the router. Any idea how to change that? I'm using an android phone

It's in your wifi settings not the app

Yes, I called the manufacturer about this. Try typing 192.168.4.1 into your phones internet browser after you are connected to the iAqualink signal. My phone is doing the same thing now as of 12/16/2022. If that does not work I recomend calling Zodiac Pool Systems Tech support line at 800-227-1442.
