Do you foresee a problem with the running board reaching back underneath the pickup bed? Any chance a load in the bed or going over rough terrain is going to force that bed body to smash down onto the rail? I am installing mine now and it seems to be too long for the cab body.

I've had no issues with pulling trailers every day with mine. No issues here.

How much ground clearance did you lose compared to the other running boards?

I believe it was about a 4" difference. And I'm 9" 3/4 above the ground from the lowest part of the new boards.

Not sure. I've never painted aluminum before. I'm sure if you, or someone else does it correctly it can look good.
