nice vid, I have done the Idricja a couple of times and we found a big dry worked best a big chartreuse klink worked for me but my mate fished a thing called a B-52 and caught loads. We also fished the Soca (too many kayakers). Sava Bohinjka just north of Bled very good for big grayling and some huge rainbows (10lbs plus) , Unica very good with a huge hatch but super crowded.

it's frustrating how busy Unica has gotten these days, it's one of my absolute favourites. We tried big flies on Idricja but there were huge quantities of small mayflies hatching, sz20 and less, and the fish were totally fixated on these. Just need to learn to take my chances!

What a fantastic and interesting place. You did well as the river level was very low. Would the fast flowing runs be suitable for Tenkara? Those rainbows are absolutely beautiful.

I'd be really worried about tenkara in a river with such large fish in it, maybe the shallower riffles where you don't expect the real big ones would be ok though!
