These would be cool with an anodized aluminum pickguard and DiMarzio's. Area single coils and AT humbucker. Then I would buy one.

If you have specific needs just buy one of the Premium ones and use the extra money you saved to get that pickguard and pickups. They have a AT AZ now btw.

Please can you guide me my Ibanez Az2204n have tremolo problems. When I used tremolo is out of tune always

Few things you can check to see if they help: 1) Stretch out each string individually, tune up and repeat the process again few times until the guitar starts staying more in tune. 2) Check the angle of the bridge: I usually set it in a way where it's just slightly angled towards the neck. 3) Try a different set of strings. Even with quality brands I've sometimes had a bad string or two that just don't stay in tune. 4) If those don't help, I would take the guitar to the tech to have the nut and the bridge saddles checked. Hope these help!

It wasn't mine to begin with. I borrowed it from a local store to try it out and do a demo of it. Couldn't afford to buy it at the time.

Cool looking guitar with that 'catchy name'🙂 Like the roasted neck n' headstock plus the HSS is so versatile. Sounds great cool review & demo ✅ .. there's also a new Andy Timmons sig in the works 😎 Think there are 10 variations of pickup selections. The ''series' mode just means the 2 SC's are selected together to give a 'hum bucker type' sound. You can either select just the 2 SC's alone in series for HB sound or have the 2 SC's in series plus the bridge humy pu to give a double HB type sound.

Very nice review. Thank you! I've played this guitar. It feels really nice, it's not heavy too. But those single pickups sound very crispy/cold. I like more warm sounding pickups and those in AZ feels like close to fender custom 69 or yosemite - much of crispy, much of highs. Single pickup (for example the neck) sounds more like in-between position in Fender. I can't liked them.

Yeah they are definitely on a modern side of things and it's not everyone's thing. You could of course replace the pickups to something you like, but I think with the same money you can also get a really nice Fender/Friedman/Suhr as well that would be more traditional sounding.

Yeah swapping pickups isn't that big of an operation and can drastically improve already great instrument. I'm actually thinking about upgrading the humbuckers on mine :)

I know that you got 2xHumbucker. I have to find that guitar to compare with my Les Paul. Those are two different guitars but I'm curious how much their are different. Especially the neck humbucker, so warm in LP.

You can get tones that get pretty close, but overall I'd say this guitar sounds a bit more modern than what I would recommend if someone wants to really nail the Mayer tone.

Does the floating trem cause any tuning issues??

If you set the guitar up properly, then no. My AZ was really stable tuning wise after I kinda worked it in. It's not a Floyd Rose level stability but still great.

Nice guitar. The word you were searching for is "play" or "slack", there is no, or little play in the arm, there is no or little slack in the joint. If it was loose you would say it is sloppy! By the way, I hate the output jack positioning, terrible on a normal stand.
