My man, i have big hands and i got a donner dst 152 but I'm not comfortable with it, it sounds really good but can't handle metal at all, I always liked the ibanez quality but not sure which one to go with

Hello my friend, if you want versatility an Ibanez Grg or Grx will certainly do. About spending more money after you buy one, it's kinda hard to say: 1) if you buy it in a shop you have a chance to try it with your hands and see that everything is alright. 2) if you want to buy one on the internet, you simply gotta take some risks. Hello, I just bought the GRG 221. Honestly I purchased it because it looks so beautiful. I am hoping it plays well. My question is, are those pickups really microphonic? Will I have to upgrade them? If so, do you have any budget recommendations on pickups for me?

Hello dude, the stock plugins are pretty good, I mean, I had no trouble with them (even recorded an original cover with that guitar). About upgrading them, You can try with bare knuckle pickups if you are on a budget (around € 100 each humbucker). But the real point is: will it change the tone? I made that experiment twice and it is hard for me tell you whether it will work or not. Thanks for passing by.

Hello Thomas, I don't play professional so I don't think I'm the right person to give some advice about. About the guitar, I felt it very good (just like the other GRG from Ibanez I tried). It stays in tune, fluid neck, the pickups are pretty good as well (though I've tried better pickups) Hope it helps. Thanks.

The two with the same pickup have different head stocks? Ones reversed so will have different string tensions so surely has to sound different no? I’m only a beginner so was just a thought. I was hoping you’d say something about the reverse head stock and if one is a better option and why?

Hola hombre, bueno, digamos que se te gusta el metal, todas 4 pueden hacerlo. Pero, si tienes que elegir, podría decirte la Cort Kx100. El mástil de las guitarras come la Js22 y la Cort x100 no me gustaron come lo de la Cort Kx100. La Ibanez grgr221 tiene un look incredibile pero el look para me es secundario. Espero haberte ayudado. Hey buddy, for clean riffs it'll do. You could play some jazz and blues but no whammy bar to play with. Get a look at the grx70qa (same price line) I super loved the playability of that model.

Hey buddy, I've never tried the first one you mentioned, but I read tremolo bridge and I'm not a great fan of those. With the GRG221pa I had no problems and it is a pretty good guitar if you want to start. It holds the tuning very well, good playability and smooth neck. Hope to see you again. Have a nice day.

It's still a cheap model and I super loved the playability and feeling it gave me. You can find the video in the channel. Last but not least, I'm not much into clean tone as I prefer distortion. Podría ser un problema del jack que estás usando. Quizás no funcione. O, puede ser un problema al conectar el jack dentro de la guitarra. A mí me pasó una vez. Estoy seguro que un tecnico puede ayudarte si hay algún problema allí. Espero que todo te salga bien.

Hey dude, the guitars in video have all 5 different pick up positions. You can have a lot of varieties of sound. Btw, for me HH would be enough. Just need good crunchy rhythm and punchy solos. Thanks for passing by.
