That is a hot guitar. Amazing burst finish. First time I saw the input jack like that, seems like a better design, jack and cable on typical guitar is always getting in the way when seated. Put some fluence pickups in it and clarity would probably be AMAZING.

I have 3 S series Ibanez guitars. My S970 also uses ball bearings for the trem and it's great. I like the light weight and how the input jack is mounted. The EKG inlays match up with the way my heart with pacemaker looks like on the test screen too. ;-)

junior doesn't really have anything to do w the age of a person playing it. It's the same size as her original. Junior just means it's a cheaper version

I want to order the Jiva 10 but keep seeing reviews about the white residue and dinged necks. Now that it has been out awhile has all that been worked out?

I'd say you're better off getting a regular Ibanez S model, in your price range. The Jiva10 I tried in shop, did not seem worth the high price tag because of the artist endorsement.

That is a very nice guitar. What are the difereces between the jr and the regular?

Pickups, Meranti vs Mahogany body. 10 has better tops though I've seen the JR have nice quilt hit or miss. Wizard 3 neck vs the flatter backed 3 piece 10. Bout it. Note the 3 can be reshaped pretty easy if you can get over the fear of sanding your guitar. I've done it to 3 of them now and the difference cannot be overstated. So slam in some pickups and take up a touch of wood working and you've got yourself a shred machine.

JivaX was just a limited model. Only sold for one year. There's a white version coming out called the JivaX2, but again it'll probably only be sold for a year.

Is the neck different cut from the Jiva 10?

I bought one on Reverb this week from G& D’s Guitar World. Very dissatisfied. The guitar buzzes like a cheap kazoo. Upon investigation the main issue is that the frets are not level, especially the second one- F#. Amazing that this cleared QC and that the seller did not disclose these flaws. I love Nita but the guitar I got is unacceptable.

😢I am a former shredder of late 80's mid 90's and guitar collector since 1998. Although I am not a fan of Nita Strauss at all I can confirm Jiva Jr is a very good budget guitar; ( in oposition to Jem Jr which is a total rubbish-better to buy RG350) and yes, I also think the Quantum pickups are very underestimated. I bought one for my son

The signature right there on the top like that just messed up the finish and beauty of the maple top. Put it on the headstock or the neck plate. Not right there though.

My experience with mid priced S Series Ibanez guitars wasn't good. Poor sustain, crap pickups.

I think this guitar is too overpriced: In fact, it's just a more "stylish" version of the much cheaper S520. If you pay a little extra, you can buy a Japanese Ibanez RG550, which is much better in quality and specs.

The S520 isn't "much cheaper", it's marginally less than the JIVAJR, with the price difference easily accounted for buy the pickups, burst finish and "stylish"features. The RG550 does cost extra and it is made in Japan, but better specs is arguable.

@@deaddoll1361 Ibanez JivaJR costs around $800/euro, and the s520 is around 500 - I think this is a significant difference. But all they differ is the fretboard and maple veneer + the middle single pickup, which few people use anyway. All other specifications are identical. Moreover, in the USA for $600 you can buy an Ibanez S570 model with the same configuration of pickups as on JivaJR but with a better guitar body wood (ash instead of meranti). Nita herself bought an Ibanez S570 during one of the clinics and praises this model very much, even performed with it at an Alice Cooper concert. As for the RG550, for this money you get Japanese build quality, a more stable 5-piece neck, a much better tremolo system, and better pickups.

I really liked her until she started a crowdsource to fund her record because she wanted to record it without a label. Folks gave her all the money she asked for, and a lot more, then she quickly signed with a label. I'm sorry, but that was shady af and flat out wrong.

Dude, you're talking out of your ass. She never said she wasn't going to go with a label. How the hell was she going to distribute it, herself? The KS was for the funds to record the album, and the ensuing tour. And the more she raised, the more stretch goals unlocked...like every other KS. And everybody got what they wanted. So what's your problem? Quit trying to make drama where there is none to be found. Better yet, why don't you go try to achieve something before spreading lies about people who already have.
