This dude made me explore new playing concepts I'd not thought of before, between him, ichika and Tim I've looked at clean playing in such a different light. Keep inspiring Manuel 🤘
@SmileRoomMusic3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It really comes passed down from Tosin. Most of these guys ditched the pick and developed full chord fingerstyles that alternate between lead and rhythm simultaneously. I started getting into playing both parts from Jack White in the late 90s, but these new players just launched the concept into the stratosphere

Ichika Nito's signature is a big step towards Manuel getting one, it's probably already in development for the next cycle of guitar releases. Bonus round, when MG-F finally does get his guitar, we're probably going to get videos of Ichika and Tim Henson flexing on it. It will be like Christmas for Guitar Porn

The harmonics at 1:45 - check out Alan Gogoll's Bell Harmonic technique. He uses the index and middle fingers to touch the strings and the thumb and ring to pluck (if I'm seeing it right). Might be a cleaner way of getting those harmonics (if I'm looking at what you're doing right).

Loving Ibanez's new business strategy, it's as if they took a page out of their 1980's strategy, find up and coming musicians pushing the envelope, launching the new trend in guitar innovation forward. Yes, headless and fanned frets aren't new, but few manufactures make them and has been the rage amongst enthusiasts for some time. Glad to see Ibanez take the charge when no other mainstream brand has.

Someone explain the frets Why not just fan them?
@carlchameleon98473 жыл бұрын
"All of the frets are equally slanted at an 8-degree angle. Many contemporary players tend to favor a much higher playing positon to execute more effectively, highly technical and intricate techniques like tapping, finger style, and even occasional bass-inspired slap riff. This higher position results in the four fretting fingers naturally tilting slightly inwards. This 8-degree inward tilt of the frets perfectly accommodates this and offers a more natural feeling and comfortably playing guitar"- Ibanez site
