I just did this to mine. Same I got it for 200 bucks. I put Seymour Duncan Nazgûl and sentient pickups. I love how it plays man. With a little bit of mods and attention to the fret ends it plays glorious

Nice! Nazgûl / Sentient is a great set. I still find myself grabbing the RG3EXFM1 over my other guitars alot of the time. I agree they play very well, and they're great canvases for modding.

Ur a badass I have the same guitar but my has a crack on the bottom but still good I just need to upgrade my pickups pretty soon and do what I did a whole makeover with American parts lol

To be honest, those stock bridges aren't bad (when not corroded). I just prefer black hardware. Pickup upgrades are a definite must though imo.

Did you have to do anything special to install the emgs? Or did they fit in and go? Thank you for any advice i love this guitar but want something with emgs

@@damianbrumfield8057 The EMGs fit right in the body. I just had to switch out the pots and jack since i was going from passive to active pickups. If you buy a set of emgs new, they come with everything you need.

@damianbrumfield8057 Yeah, GC should be fine with installing EMGs. Especially since EMGs come with solderless quick connect wiring and pots. Pretty straightforward.

I got mine for $179 and it had a Seymour Duncan invader in it. Had it 6 years now and it’s still one of my most played guitars Edit: This is actually the only guitar I still have that was less than $1000 and I love it

Hell yeah. You can find some pretty good deals on these if you look enough. Theyre the best bang for buck out there imo.

Yeah, It was a compulsive buy. I probably could've found one in better condition, but cleaning it up was part of the fun.
