nice video! i never use FR bridge guitars. one time i had to change strings with FR and it was a pain for me.... i use fixed bridge and usually replace tuners with locking tuners. very fast to replace strings and very stable. other thing that i use is dimarzio pickups, X2n or Dactivator X, maybe too powerfull (sure for the X2n). ibanez always is a secure bet. very comfortable to play

Yeah there is a big learning curve to having a FR setup, so if you don't have a use for it, then don't get one. That said, I do prefer it though. I had an X2n7 in my Ibanez RG1527 - great sounding pickup, very different from most other pickups I have tried. Yes for comfort and ease of playing, few things beat an Ibanez!

Nice man i recently got a Ibanez RG 7421 PB. Im not sure differences between this guitar and mine but i plan to soon swap bridge with sh5 duncan custom and hipshot locking tuners and graphtech nut

I think it is a better looking version of the RG7321, maybe with upgraded pickups. Still I think upgrading the pickup, tuners and nuts are probably the best way to make this a 'pro' level instrument. Ofc assuming you like the guitar, the neck, the fretboard in the first place.

@@rasmuslaurberghansen8484 did you ever have intonation issues on the low string? i have to remove the spring and put the saddle all the way back so the B string is bent "backwards" to the string holes.
@rasmuslaurberghansen84844 жыл бұрын
@@f1chtl No I didn't but I have only ever had it tuned to regular B with a standard daddario 7 string 10 set, so not that thick a string for the 7th. If you are using thicker strings and tuning lower I can see how it might be an issue. It is only a 25'5 inch scale length, so maybe not the most optimal for super low tunings, if that is what you are trying to do?

@@rasmuslaurberghansen8484 im only at B Standard as well... And i can just get in right with the current strings (also d addario 10-56) But the string is bent backwards which doesnt looks like intended..

What are the options of replacing the bridge? I have that guitar and also do not like the saddle screws scraping my palm!
@rasmuslaurberghansen84842 жыл бұрын
I think the Ibanez Gibraltar bridge is the only replacement that will fit 1:1, if you get something like a hipshot it requires new holes etc.
