I like more the playability of an Ibanez, I had played the RG 550 my whole life. I find it easier to play fast legatos, etc and it sounds great. BUT IMO not as great as a Les Paul. I don't think that anything beats the Les Paul sound and feel. It is huge. You can really notice it when you play one of them. It makes me play differently.

The Les Paul does not lend itself to fast playing like the Ibanez does. Legato, alternate picking are really suited to the long scale neck ... The fretboard up past the twelfth fret is still easily accessible ..whereas on the led Paul it all gets pretty muddy...

Ibanez is more complete and versatile guitar, you can play any skill with it. Les paul however has your unique sound and in its territory is unbeatble.

this must be Gibson Les Paul Axcess ( floyd rose model ) vs Ibanez like this . but if you want the sound between a Stratocaster and Les Paul this the guitar and plus 2 extra frets and forget say ibanez have floyd rose .
