RG2011SC-BK Francesco Artusato (All Shall Perish)

As industry pioneers of 7 & 8 string guitars and extended range instruments for production models, Ibanez has always been on the cutting edge. Instead of focusing on the lower register, we've added higher notes, with an extended 30 fret fingerboard to create an extreme shredding machine!
The rosewood fingerboard contains 30 Jumbo frets at the standard long scale length (25.5"). Also featured is an eye catching extra-deep cutaway that allows access to the higher frets effortlessly while retaining the beauty of an authentic RG body shape. Other key features include 5 screws All-Access Neck Joint with a smoother heel scoop for your thumb, which allows the maple neck to be firmly and seamlessly bolted to the resonant Alder body.
This guitar is equipped with the famous Ibanez Edge-Zero tremolo with the Zero Point System, a recessed output jack and white DiMarzio® pickups.
Furthermore, this guitar includes a special hidden feature. We didn't want to sacrifice the tone of a Neck pickup for the extra length of fingerboard. Instead, we retained the popular 5-way split switch, and developed a Neck Pickup Simulator Circuit powered by a 9v battery, specially designed for this extremely limited edition RG. This allows for the ultimate shredding machine without compromise!

This guy's instrumental CD (chaos and the primordial) is absolutely incredible. Equal in quality to Jeff Loomis' Zero Order Phase (IMO) - truly listenable track for track but just very intense and unique as well. Next stop - 36 frets and 9 strings!!!!!

I finally found one - in sparkly red - and it is indeed phenomenal.... That access up the extended fretboard is nice and smooth, and all except perhaps the last 2 frets have really good sustain too - something I really miss on my 27 fret Hamer Californian... The simulated neck pickup sounds as advertised, no matter if you play clean or with any amount of gain. Love it!! 😜🤘 I might tune it down though to C# or C. That way I can get the best of both worlds!

@HurricaneTBag the only 7 string model that i was thinking of getting from Ibanez was the RGA427Z prestige or the Chris Broderick sig but i guess i will get that from jackson. I totally i agree with you the pickups are disappointing, i found myself swapping them out every time i get an Ibanez. They only thing that has me excited about Ibanez is that they are planning on bringing back the Custom Shop.

@ibanezfreakstore I think they need to come up with more guitars, the 2011 line up is disappointing. I understand they are trying to stick with the retro 80's style but where in 2011. They need more ebony on their guitars, more variety of pickups. Chris Brodericks's guitar in my opinion was ibanez's Flag ship.
