Hello. I just bought amp8 mk2 for my dx240 and it doesnt work. I have firmware version 1.03.310. I turned off the player and changed amp carefully. The player doesnt turn on. Charger doesnt help. Then I changed to amp1 and it doesnt turn on too, but when I put it on charge it begins to charge from 1 percent but was 85 percent, when i turned it on there was 85 percent. I made factory restore, but it doesnt help. Google doesnt help too. Maybe you can help me please!

Hello, unfortunately I won't be helpful here. By description it looks like a faulty unit, so you need to contact seller for warranty. Or you can try contacting iBasso representative on Head-Fi.org forum, he's pretty active there

Hi, Thank you for all your reviews, particularly in these very difficult times. I would be grateful for your thoughts. I just bought the Amp8 Mk2 on Amazon as it was sold out elsewhere. The Amp8 Mk2S has just come out. I haven’t opened the Mk2 package yet. I wonder if, based on your previous experience, you think the Mk2S is likely to be enough of an upgrade, to justify sending the Mk2 back and getting Mk2S instead? Thanks.

I didn't test MK2S, so I can't say anything for sure, but their previous special edition amp (also don't remember each one it was) was a nice step forward in terms of sound. Taking into account that iBasso changed a lot this time too, probably sound improvement will be noticeable

Hello, I recently acquired amp8 mk2 module and am very satisfied with the sound. However, I have a bit of an issue with it. If I connect headphones via 3.5 or 4.4 with screen off and then turn on screen and start playing music, there is no sound. This is fixable by pulling out/reconnecting headphones and also does not happen, if I turn the screen on and then connect headphones. Minor issue, but I I didn't have with stock amp or amp5 mod which I also own. Tried disconnecting/reseating module, but it did not help. Has anyone encountered this issue? I'm using Neutron player, but it probably does not matter.

An update. I sent the Amp8 Mk2 back and ordered the Amp8 Mk2S. I am really pleased with the latter. It sounds superb. Greater body and note weight. Very detailed, but not fatiguing I get the impression of improved dynamics over the Amp1 Mk3.
