Iberostar Playa Alameda in Varadero Cuba review

Subscribed! Thank you for this video, very very helpful! I'm going in November and was initially hesitant to book this hotel. Quick question, do they offer a variety of tour packages from the hotel reception or do we have to go out and search for them in town? I wanna do excursions to the city or other beaches for snorkelling.

@AZRIELD I've made a couple of other videos on activities from the hotel. For snorkeling, there's a company right on the beach! Turn right and you'll see the catamarans. There is other snorkeling tours as well and you can book them in the lobby. They leave from the marina down the road, so if you're out exploring that way, you can stop by their office. IIRC, there's a snorkeling tour that will take you to amoung other places, Cayo Blanca. I did this tour in 2020 and enjoyed it. There's also a nearby bat cave that's walkable to or take the bus. Be aware that Havana is quite aways from the resort due to the resorts location at the end of Varadero. I'm not saying don't go, just be aware it will be a longer trip to get there versus if you stayed at a resort closer to town. And of course, thanks for watching and subscribing! 😊

Hello I go there every year for years now love this place. It’s not too shelf but the place is small and very good. You can book lots from the resort. I would say go to Havana on a bus trip very nice and beautiful

@JessicaDean-z3w Is the transfers from the airport to the resort not included or did you book the flights and resort separately? It's about a $50CAN/$37US cab ride

hey, was there a boardwalk pathway to the beach anywhere where you could take a walker or wheelchair to get close to the beach.

Unfortunately, not at this resort. There are 2 paths to the beach and they're both sandy. Now if you go into town, there is a beach overlook that has an attached walkway that will get you to the beach.

yo fui animador turistico en ese hotel del 2006 al 2009 que pase al Laguna Azul de iberostar y pienso ir el mes que viene como turista espero que quede alguien de aquellos anos

Don't go to this resort. I just came back after staying at this dump. I had a ground floor room in 18 as well. Breathing in all that mold was bad. No hot water in the shower. Stains and holes in the bedding, lazy room service. The "safe" drinking water is from the tap, you will never see them walking around with drinking water to fill the bottles in your room. The list goes on... It's just bad. The video of the food looks amazing compared to how bad it is now. We had nothing like that, it would have been lovely to have that much edible food. Other resorts had much better food from talking to people at the airport. The staff are doing their best but who ever is running this resort needs to be replaced.
