Interestingly, as Chris mentions 5 fold ministry with 5 different " colors" of grace, I think of the 5 colors of the high priests (Jesus) garments. Something to ponder.

Awesome! The priestly garment was surely pieced together to make a prophetic declaration of a deep spiritual truth. (Yahweh doesn't seem like the type of God who would do something arbitrarily. "Just wear these colors because I said so.") Beautiful observation. That may or may not be the reason for the five colors (and if it is, it is almost certainly not the entire reason). But it is wonderful to consider things like this that serve to glorify the Lord in His wisdom!

Can someone please share the source where he found that “treasures” is one meaning of “secrets” in 1 Corinthians 14:25? I cannot find it in the Strong’s or Vine’s. I’m not being contentious at all, I just want to know. I love word studies like this. The original Greek and Hebrew are so rich!

I actually talk about this in the latest video on my channel that deals with Bethel's teaching on prophecy. The greek word in 1 Corinthians 14:25 that Kris was referring to is "kryptos". I did not find a single translation that translates kryptos as treasures. BDAG's Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament, which is the gold standard lexicon for Greek New Testament studies does not translate kryptos as treasures. Rather, it translates it as: a hidden entity, something hidden. @@user-gx4wi4cv2m I agree that some things no longer apply, but the heart of all of them do. Further, what would make this Old Testament only? By definition a prophet, both modern and ancient, has their prophecies come true when they prophesy, otherwise they would not be considered a prophet. Any prophesy that doesn't come true out of the mouth of a "prophet" is by necessity evidence that that person is not a prophet and the Lord did not speak through them. If a prophet is someone who speaks for the Lord, and if the Lord never lies, then a prophet will never lie or speak falsely. They are merely a vessel for God's words. This is true throughout the Old and New Testament.

Does Bethel believe in “getting saved” and asking Jesus to be your “personal Lord and Savior”, a tradition found nowhere in the Bible? At my church, a church that follows Bill Johnson and Bethel's teaching, we were taught that we were born saved, but if we at any point in our lives reject Jesus, then we have to ask him to save us. Do Bill Johnson and the leaders at Bethel believe similarly?

These men cannot discern between the Old and New Testament. When the Old Testament suits their narrative, they will take descriptive texts and teach from it. Whereas a prescriptive text, like how to test prophecy, they just dismiss it. Kris is a false prophet. I need not listen to him. The Bible tells me so.
