Hello captain, amazing video as always. I have a question. Is there anu particular reason to use manual thrust instead of auto thrust in this approach?

The decision is done by the pilot flying. We have to be able to fly with autothrust and with manual thrust. To stay proficient and current, we need to do both on a regular basis.

Amazing Video, thank you! I'm wondering what's the max. takeoff weight of this particular aircraft. Aren't those also flying from germany all the way to the canary islands?

Good question. I do not have the value in my mind because we fly different A319, A320 and A321 variants. I need to look it up. The max takeoff weight should be good enough for flights from Germany to the Canary Islands. But we fly usually with latger planes than the A319 to the Canarian Islands because they have more seats.
