Three types of states according to Ibn e Khuldun ▪︎Natural state--run by kings...working just for the interests of the kings and rulers ▪︎Rational state--run by reason and politically developed laws--working for and taking care of the worldly affairs of the people ▪︎Caliphate--run by Islamic laws--working for and taking care the worldly as well as the religious affairs of the people.. ● Idea of Good governance • Mildness •Kindness •Moderation ● Effects of climate on socio-political culture ▪︎Habitable Earth has been devided into seven zones • seven zones are imaginary ▪︎ First zone is longer than the second and second is longer than the third and so on. The seventh zone is the shortest. ● Division of zones ▪︎1st and second....in the South...more heat...heat and intensive Sunlight has effects on the skin and attitudes of people...strong.. ▪︎3rd, 4th, and 5th....combined called temperate zone...4th is the most temperate zone...people have more organized, and luxurious, lives in comparison to the people of the North and South zones... ▪︎6th and 7th...combined North zone...extremely cold..climate effects on people..white skin and blonde hair..
