Sounds like they’re looking at lots of new stuff. It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with. Have you done any reading on what issues Low Stomach Acid or Low Bile Flow can cause (including SIBO), and what kinds of things can LEAD to low stomach acid (all kinds of lifestyle stuff, but ALSO the various fillers and chemicals contained in typical prescription tablets/capsules of any kind)? Might be worth Googling on your gap times this weekend. This guy has some great videos about determining causes of issues re gut health, has lots of YT vids/website/book/podcast/individual consults: author of Kick Your Fat In The Nuts, T.C. Hale. Don’t let the title of the book throw you off, it covers MUCH more than just weight loss (which obviously is NOT your issue). THIS video of his is about Colitis, and how it may be a bile flow problem at its root cause (I’m not sure if you already had your GB removed - but if you DID, then definitely look into an Ox Bile supplement - Nutricology makes a good one in either 125 mg or 500 mg). But this video ALSO briefly discusses how Low Stomach Acid can be the culprit in Colitis. His FREE book Kick Your Fat In The Nuts has info on how to determine what the true nature of YOUR root caus(es) are for various digestive symptoms and diagnoses, almost like a Flow Chart. He also has some actual vids about SIBO, and other vids that mention SIBO. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpmxmomjpahmatk

Thank you and I'll watch the video!! I think part of my issue is too much bile flow hence the 5 day eating lots of fats test. They want to see if I have BAM and other malabsorption issues. Thank you again for the video, I'll check into it.

@@TwoManyProjects: If you DO have BAM, you definitely DON’T want to take Ox Bile. Hopefully their test(s) will show whether you have BAM. Evidently, according to this video by Dr. Eric Berg, BAM can cause SIBO. I hope whatever they find has a simple solution. But even then it would be maddening that you went through so much and so many doctors before finding out the root cause. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqG8q3p5f518oKc

If the doctor didn't recommend a fat? Consider lard. Seed oils are not good for us. Less avocado oil and olive oil in that order. Drbeen Medical Lectures interview with GI doctor covers some of the test you are taking. I wish the best for you ♥

Thank you! Yes, seed oils don't sit right with me... for some reason small amounts of peanut butter aren't bad, but I can only use that for one meal. They suggest having things cooked in a lean fashion (not fried or grilled in oil) rather to have the fats be part of the food (ie, if I order eggs, have them be basic scrambled not fried and the fat content would be from then eggs alone). Thank you for the well wishes!
