Been very sick 8 years, it happened every time I get some fever or cold I ‘ll put some ibuprofen or Advil, than I need to sleep in hospital for 3-5days, they run all kind of test, find not thing every time, never thought about ibuprofen is bad for me, because my family are using it with no problem, so frustrating, the year of 9 got fever again, run out of ibuprofen, get some Tylenol instead, no hospital bed happening, I tell my doctor what I think, then they run some test this ibuprofen is deadly drug for me, that I am so lucky to be alive, because all this year in hospital bed they still give me ibuprofen and Tylenol for pain, than more pain make me have worse reaction, bones cracking pain in my whole body….

Patient: Jessica Sogo, a 21 y.o woman with L arm fracture resulting from a fall at home. Ms. Sogo received ibuprofen 500mg for pain at 6:00 am. Her order says she can hae the drug every 6hrs. So at 12nn, you give another 500mg. Ibuprofen is metabolized in the liver and excreted mainly in the urine. 3-A. When this meds reaches onset of action, about how much ibuprofen does Ms Sogo now have in her body? 3-B. If the normal half-life of ibuprofen is 6 hrs, you would expect Ms. Sogo to still have about 250mg of her first dose left in her body at the time of the second dose. Given her age, though, do you think she probably has more or less 250mg left at 6hrs? Why? 3-C. Ms sogo tells you she cannot take this medication because it makes her nauseated. What should you do in this kind of scenario? I need help 😪😪
