Please add a bunch of defense structures / mines (for both sides in the later case) with any future develop! I feel like if you really lean into that side of the gameplay with foxholes, bunkers, trenches, machine gun/AT gun pits, traps, etc and a skirmish mode it would add 10x the replay-ability and really make an overall difference. I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that an immersive Vietnam game should address the asymmetrical aspect of the war (though more arcadey games often skip this). That means thinking outside the box and taking risks, which is perfect for indy devs but not something AAA is too keen on.

This reminds me of the old Empire Earth. I did a lot of airborne assaults in that game. I would send 25-30 helicopter transports to drop hundreds of machine gunners, bazookas, stingers and mortarmen into the field. Sometimes I used the tactic to secure a newly found resource, but when I found a vulnerable enemy town center or a small capitol I would swoop in, drop my soldiers, let them murder everyone and destroy everything and then leave before any response could be mounted. Good times, good times

The gameplay speed is as fast as Combat Mission's, very detailed animation but not yet polished, icons are kinda hard to see and the UI looks like Men of War. This is a good start. I'd like to see a few more strategies used by the enemy as they had historically like denser jungle (which necessitated napalm and Agent Orange), complete networks of tunnels (not spottable by air), decoy villages, man traps that take out half a platoon, night-time harassment of your troops by the enemy or insects (necessitating DDT) making soldiers 50% effective, etc. It might make the game seem unfair but it would be closer to what it was like.
